Hello Michaelng,

I think we are absolutely not singing from the same page.

If you read the Australian High Court transcript, then it becomes cristal clear, that the Magna Carta isn't relevant in Australia and that we don't have any Human Rights Acts.

Furthermore, the Constitution doesn't deal with any rights or laws - it's just a blueprint how the political skeleton of the Commonwealth of Australia will look like.

Please read the transcript and you will see.

Cheers

Pam

Hello Pam

You may want to contact CLRG about this. We do not need a bill of rights. The Australian Constitution is all we need and it guarantees us our freedoms going back to the Magna Carta which has not been extinguished.  In fact in 1998 in a Court Laws  review in the ACT it was kept in the open laws and proven to still be in affect. We need to get rid of these corrupt judges.

Hi Michaelng,

If you look at the transcript of Martins trail 2000 – then it becomes very clear,

what right we DO NOT HAVE in this country.

Quote of his trial transcription (link further down):

"If you go back to Magna Carta which, I suppose, is really the heart of your argument, it is really more a statement of political ideals.

They are not constitutional documents in the sense that the Australian Constitution and the United States Constitution are.

That is the problem which you have. They are political ideals which most citizens would hope that Parliaments would follow but if Parliaments do not follow them, the remedy is the ballot box because we do not have a Bill of Rights in this country.

If you were in the United States, you would have some arguments about whether the Weapons Act 1990 of Queensland was wholly or partly invalid, but we do not have a Bill of Rights in this country.
