Should We get rid of State governments

With the councils being joined is their any reason why we should not get rid of state governments . If the state governments were gone the shire mayors would become the areas representative . This would do away with the current state and federal members of parliment and your Mayor would then take the place of both as your local state and federal member

There are solutions to overcoming uncertain times

It depends on who you talk to as to the current state of Queensland’s and possibly Australia’s agriculture industry. If you listen to ABARE and Mr Mulherin, Queensland Minister for Primary Industries and Fisheries (or is it now called the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation), apparently Agriculture is booming.
