Hi being a self funded retire I wonder how the Gov intends to compensate people in my position, when it introduces their carbon tax. I fear the same way we have been compensated in any other decision that is made. I personally do not receive 1 cent from the Gov & fund my life style. I believe something has to be done but I am not sure the Gov can be trusted to introduce & run a highly complex tax as they have not shown there expertease in the past { pink batts, school halls,…

Dear Just Ground Members,
I recently was allowed the opportunity to speak at an anti- carbon tax rally held in front of the QLD Parliament.
This is what I had to say: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKeSieNlZfQ

Climate Change Commission claims it is independent
I have not seen a propaganda campaign like this in my life. The Commonwealth Government is spending $ Millions to preach doom and gloom to us, without definitive scientific evidence man contributes to Climate change in more than the most minor capacity ie, .000033r%. in fact another of their highly funded…

Values and Role of Law Should be Taught to Children
Letters from South Australia April 30
The Editor, Adelaide Advertiser
Dear Sir,
Letters and Editorial (Advertiser,April 19 ) seem at equal odds between the humanities and the Three R's of the education system. Each of the correspondents and the Editorial address serious issues for the "building blocks" of our future.
The most important R missing from the Editorial of the Three R's is Respect. But there is a larger dimension. The issue missing…

Little French Villages for SA Development? Sacre Bleu!
Isobel Redmond, the Leader of the Opposition in SA announced.."South Australia needs to be like France with small villages and not all the focus on one city" How sweet, mes ami
But France does not have the tyranny of distance that affects life in Australia.Throw a stone in France might hit someone in Luxembourg.Just picture mon amis, le cafe' on the way to Murray Bridge with your beautiful new wife.
The waiter, (Aussie footballer with stutter working way though uni, in starched…

Letter to Mr. Bowen. So You Wanted to be a Politician?
Finding yourself in a bad spot Minister? Did the Gillardteen make it a bit impossible to carry out? This policy that swaps another 4000 asylums. I suppose you have some idea being a Minister with responsibility to the Nation an' all, of using charter aircraft for such a swap. Bringing 4000 by air from Malaysia might be quite hazardous.
I hate to think about a riot on a charter aircraft while on the way to Malaysia, a most dangerous thought indeed. No charter operator would accept the…

Can we leave the NBN to the private sector?
Opposition spokesman for communications, Malcolm Turnbull, often repeats the position that the Government should stay out of communications infrastructure, and projects such as the NBN should be left to the private sector (or "the market"), with some assistance provided for "unviable" areas.

I'm Still Angry. The Asylum Policy is Lurching from one Crisis to Another
Im still angry and I've not calmed down about the asylum policy which is floundering from one lurch to another.
Minister Bowen talking all tough about the law. But just whose law? These people have no idea being quite ignorant of law least of all the one the Minister is referring to. May as well tell the lion not to eat the lamb as it is against the law.
The Minister is now between a rock and a hard place stuffing around with political grandstanding while ignoring the…

Denis Rancourt, takes a big stick to climate alarmism physics.
Denis not only takes on the impossible AGW physics but he explains it in terms that even a layman can understand ( well I got it , apart from the math, and i'm certainly no Einstein ! ).
It's refreshing after having to endure AGW snobs who believe they are High Priests.
Denis for those who don't know is a leftist libertarian, Physicist and Environmental Scientist who decry's AGW as fraud.
He has some great articles on his sites of "Activist…

Letters from South Australia - Billionitis is a Disease of the Labor Government
A New Proposal to spend more billions on the Festival Centre and Torrens Precinct
How positively political. None of the proponents seem to have any concern for public funds, or how their ideas will be paid for. Indeed, many politicians have become legends in their own mind to the extent riding roughshod over the community who pay them for their life experience, morality and wisdom to administer the State.
Can we trust the elected Opposition to…

NBN launched interim satellite service
I know there's a lot of you here on satellite internet, so this may be of interest to you:
The NBN Co has signed the contracts for it's interim satellite service which will run from this month until 2015 when their dedicated satellites are launched. The interim solution will offer speeds of up to 6Mbps (At least 6 times faster than what you have now), and based on the NBN wholesale pricing it should be considerably cheaper than what you're paying currently for the slower…
