For Like minded people who like to see-
Barnaby stands up for the QLD bush 19 times, while QLD Libs force Nationals to betray the bush 19 times.
I admire National Party senator Barnaby Joyce because he isn’t easily pushed around. Barnaby has broken ranks with the Liberals in Canberra, and voted against them 19 times in order to put the people of country QLD first. An article in the Toowoomba Chronicle today reports: “The outspoken senator is renowned as a highly-independent member of his…

What major party is the best to manage the state?
“What major party is the best to manage the state?” With the state election just around the corner, that is an important question for any QLD independent Member of Parliament or candidate. We desperately need a change in government. However, I would like to see a minority LNP government held in check by a group of genuine conservative independents who will put the interests of the people before the interests of…

MARRIAGE RITES
Boy meets girl
emotional sparks
ignite
love or lust
time will tell.
They hold hands
They kiss
then it is hit or miss
Until
Boy will say
(sometimes)
Girl will say
'Let's make it formal'
True blue love
Before all and G-D
We want everyone to know
What we have is holy
Let's marry and vow
To carry each other
With G-D's…

To shred, or not to shred? That is the question… for QLD Public Servants.
Member for Burnett Rob Messenger today has called on Queensland’s 180,000 plus public servants to think twice before following directions from people associated with the Labor party, who may order the destruction or shredding of public documents.
Mr Messenger said that in the lead up to the 2012 state election, and with a likely change in government…

The Greens Should Get Out of the Way - Part 2
The Greens will push energy costs much higher with policy to leave coal in the ground until there is a non polluting use for it and all energy from renewables by 2020.
But typical of the Greens they have no idea of how to achieve it. When there is no wind and no sun the coal fired generators must keep burning coal to energize the grid to light our world.
Renewable's? Well, there's whale oil, that was popular years ago and that's renewable. Then there's sugar…

Two Years On - This Rotten Culture of Power in FamiliesSA
The Leader of the State Opposition in South Australia has only now waded into the “rotten culture of power” that is FamiliesSA on the Liberal’s website. To gain a better explanation of why the Report to Parliament exposed this rotten Department it is necessary to understand why it is…

LTE –Tahitian Prince’s “right to silence” may mean more corruption.
(words 379 – 14.1.12)
Dear Editor,
It appears from today’s media reports that Mr Morehu-Barlow aka, the “Fake Tahitian Prince”, accused of the $16.5 M theft, has “declined to be interviewed by police.” In other words, he has exercised his “right to silence”.
This new information potentially is the sign of an investigation, which has…

One Year On - In the Wake of Copenhagen
"Once again the “rich countries” have managed to take prosperity away from the Third World. And at Christmas too. We’d promised them billions in guilt payments for something called “global warming.” They don’t pay that much attention to thermometers, and weather is something they mostly live with rather than forecast.
But we ourselves had warned them their islands were about to sink beneath the waves. It hasn’t happened yet, but the computer models say it will be so. We…

Green Encounters in a Park and throwing bread to geez
B'H
Today I had an unusual encounter that riled my blood pressure no end. A friend and her daughter came over to visit and we took some gluten free bread that had moth infestation and some nice (sob) expensive liver cleanse cereal that is so yummy and had not been opened but was crawling with moth larvae to the geese, ducks and pigeons in the park. It is a waste to throw it in the bin and the larvae make a good bit of fresh protein that the geese, pigeons, ducks and…

This story breaks my heart
B'H
In a nutshell, we have a young widowed mum with a three month old baby. Her husband died of lung cancer and barely a week after she gets some callers and she knows they are not about to be paying a condolence visit, especially not armed with a knife and gun. One of them kicks the door of her house down and she shoots him dead as he enters. Bad enough that this kid and she is still a kid,is eighteen years old with a three month old baby to raise by herself, but she…

LTE – LNP crossed the floor and voted with Labor 19 times.. so who’s a friend of Labor now?
(299 words – 4.1.12)
Dear Editor,
Since May 2010, (after I became an independent member of parliament) research by the Parliamentary library (see attached) shows that 16 times “the LNP have voted with the current Labor Government on a piece of legislation, and independent Members of the Queensland Parliament have voted…
