Compulsory voting undemocratic?

What's the point of democracy... ...if Australians don't understand freedom? Most democracies in the world do not enforce compulsory voting like we do here in Australia. Enforced compulsory voting is extremely rare. Many other countries with voluntary voting also have higher voter turnouts than we do, including Sweden, Malta, Iceland, and Denmark. We tend…See More

Artificial thermals to boost the hanggliding industry in Queensland.

Boost the hang-gliding industry by creating artificial thermals spaced 10 km apart. Any black material covering a few acres will do the job. We could be the world leader in adventure tourism. This has been tested and proven.

Hi Cate. I observed that there is virtually no information about TQP online now that Aidan has run off. I find this rather alarming as the internet is essential for running any political organisation today. I'm not even sure who the executive staff consist of. Who is now the leader of TQP?

If you can picture lines from Chinchilla to Tara to Dalby and then back to Chinchilla I'm right in the middle of that Bermuda Triangle. Lived there the last 7 years half way down Kumbarilla Lane. Now I'm in Brisbane.

Hi Beverley. Thats a champion name you picked for your son. :)

Welcome to Just Grounds Wayne. I have read your posts with interest on Ruths discussions. I notice above you have written that you are interested in assisting with advertising for TQP that is good of you to offer that assistance.

I see you also have CSG issues, where abouts are you located (generally of course, near Dalby or Tara?)

If you go to the PRA group you will also see a lot of information on the CSG issues as well which may be of some interest to you. Cheers Cate :)

I like the fact that she is calling for a reduction in rate levels for inner city dwellers. One in four families are reliant on welfare, struggling to make ends meet or spending more than their combined income. I was planning to join the Queensland Party but held reservations about it after all the things I'd read about Aidan McLindon. I'm as aware as anyone that the media often mislead the public in the interests of sensationalism but I still sensed Mr McLindon might be less interested in the party than himself. Too many stories about members being bullied. Kind of ironic as that was his given reason for leaving the LNP. Brendan Fitzgerald seemed sure that Ruth Bonnett would love to talk to me about my domain. He forwarded my letter to the party on to her and I'm hoping I can be of assistance in re-establishing a web presence for the party. I'll be sending in my membership application today. I like the TQP policy platform and its intent to allow members a chance to get involved. Particularly like the proposed moratorium on CSG. I've been approached by the Queensland Gas Company about my home on the darling downs. These mining companies are land thieves. Thanks for the reply Mr Moore.
