The National Farmers’ Federation is not answerable to the Parliament. The NFF is responsible only to its members. The NFF is not called upon to adjudicate competing demands or priorities facing government and political parties. YES, WE HAVE NO PHILIPPINE BANANAS

Last night I was able to confirm in budget estimates that Biosecurity Australia have received zero import applications from Philippine Banana producers.

This is confirmation that there has never been a single banana imported into this country from the Philippines and therefore no jobs are at risk.

The hoops that a Philippines banana producer would have to jump through to get a banana into this country would make any importation unviable and besides the protocols to even… Continue

There is a world of hurt happening - my fear is the loss of human life that will occur again throughout 2013 -

Hi Fiona,

Would be really great if you are able to give an update as to what is going on in your area, and your concerns for Rural Producers regarding bankruptcy proceedings in NSW.

There have been a number of farmers / graziers whom are facing increasing hardships that are being treated appaulingly - they are made to feel "ashamed" and are being isolated - even by farming organizations.

There is going to be a new group formed on Just Grounds in the immediate future to try and connect these people of the land.

You are a landowner - Fiona, people are hurting now more than ever - we need someone to stand strong and help with issues of the banking code of conduct in the public arena - the fraternity that you are part of - people of the land - are looking to you for support, and leadership.

They are also looking to Barnaby, and John as well.

The purpose of a new group on this site for the farming fraternity is to lend support - letting people in horrendous situations interact with people of the land - their peers, so they know they are not alone, and to share information of their experiences if they are not too intimidated to do so.

If you are interested in just reading I am able to post the link here for you to read real peoples experiences as they are exposed on this site.
