Ruth Bonnett commented on Rob Messenger's blog post 'What major party is the best to manage the state?'
Hello Rob, Thanks for posting this story.  I, too, think that such a parliament would help right the balance between SEQ urban voters and the producers of wealth: the productive rural and regional people who deal with mother nature every year:…

Not too long ago, politicians who could not hold firm to their convictions were called cowards. Unfortunately, nowadays, backing down from moral principals to appease a party majority has been somehow twisted into a virtue. Barnaby Joyce…

Thank you for affirming that you will not back down on gay marriage. Let's hope Barnaby Joyce shows similar resolve in refusing to back down on that score to get along with Campbell Newman.

George, You still haven't addressed the issues in my letter. Instead you quickly resort to personal attack,( common tactic with Labor) with out any effort being put into addressing the facts i.e. the parliamentary record shows that the QLD LNP…

I don't think Barnaby and you see as eye-to-eye as you think, Rob. For a start, despite the fact he is willing to stand up for the bush and be independent, he is still able to work as a team and maintain good working relationships. He is…

I hope I'm not proven wrong, but I can't see Barnaby Joyce supporting Campbell Newman's gay-rights agenda. Barnaby would surely know that 2 bulls by themselves won't raise too many healthy calves.

Barnaby stands up for the QLD bush 19 times, while QLD Libs force Nationals to betray the bush 19 times. I admire National Party senator Barnaby Joyce because he isn’t easily pushed around. Barnaby has broken ranks with the Liberals in Canberra, and voted against them 19 times in order to put the people of country QLD first. Good to see that members of the press are paying attention, and have joined in spreading caution about possible government attempts to destroy evidence.

What major party is the best to manage the state?

What major party is the best to manage the state? “What major party is the best to manage the state?” With the state election just around the corner, that is an important question for any QLD independent Member of Parliament or candidate. We desperately need a change in government. However, I would like to see a minority LNP government held in check by a group of genuine conservative independents who will put the interests of the people before the interests of political parties. (Oakshot and…See More

Who says people don't take any notice of what appears on Just Grounds? I just wish that the Journalist would have the professional integrity to acknowledge where they sourced the idea for the article from..

To shred, or not to shred? That is the question… for QLD Public Servants.

Member for Burnett Rob Messenger today has called on Queensland’s 180,000 plus public servants to think twice before following directions from people associated with the Labor party, who may order the destruction or shredding of public documents.

Mr Messenger said that in the lead up to the 2012 state election, and with a likely change in government…

Hi Rob

Do any of them involve the shortfall in palliative care funding we receive in this region, compared with the amount of money they throw away conducting research into models of care (again), special projects and bureaucrats to check the reports we are required to fill out quarterly in order to maintain our funding (less than 1/3rd of cost).
