"Yes when I say nett I actually mean the difference between buying price and selling price without accounting for any input costs because if you don't get that gross $ the costs fritter away any profit and you make SFA."

"I know they don't require it but it is a lever into the markets but as you say if other meat is cheaper and similar quality then it will win anyway. I am sure the government expected the scheme to work far better than it has. I have to agree…"

"Yes, since EI is endemic in most countries in the world it is debatable if the cost of eradication was justified for what is just the flu. Certainly the endemic Herpes Virus (EHV-4) is probably worse anyway."
