Hi Alan, Sorry I hadn't got back to you sooner, I am east of Killarney on the road to Boonah. We have a beef breeding property in the hills above Killarney. I have been in contact with Victor Whitelaw and will help him on the 20th when Peter Spencer does his Public Talk. I have been involved with the Liston group as well doing flyer and advertising the Talks. Win TV were here today doing interviews to help promote Peters tour. Hope to meet you on Saturday.

Further to my earlier message re. Fabians, I have just found a website: www.netbay.com.au which lists all the members. (This all used to be highly confidential but I guess now with 21st century technology it would be almost impossible to keep this quiet especially with pollies). So it's interesting to see who's a member.

Alan, Please forgive me for taking so long to respond to your comment re. Fabian Society. This is my first ever experience of blogs et al so I've been learning how to get around the site.
Anyway, to answer your question - Because of my earlier dabble in Fed. politics, I once had a lot of very interesting info on the Fabian Society including a forbidden list of former members. Unfortunately, in a moment of madness, because I was "retiring" I threw it all out. You are quite right, though, that M. Fraser, R. Hawke and P. Keating were/are all members. I still have a marvellous book (considered subversive by some, which is why I like it!) written by Jeremy Lee, called "What Will We Tell Our Children?" published in 1997. The Fabian Society gets many mentions in this book but on p. 126 Jeremy quoted from "100 Years of Fabian Socialism" as follows: "Gough Whitlam adopted the Fabian approach from the day he entered Parliament in 1952 and the seminal 1972 Whitlam policy speech was a drawing together of the threads of 20 years of systematic Fabian research and planning....The tradition of Labor leaders being Fasbians endures currently in the present Prime Minister, Bob Hawke, and the Premiers John Bannon, John Cain and Neville Wran..."
So basically you could be almost 100% certain that our current Federal mob, especially K. Rudd Esq. are good and true Fabians and therefore are only concerned with One World Govt.
I have a very strong and quite depressing feeling of deja vu in all this having spoken publicly of this sort of thing at some length 10-12 years ago but, just like always, only a handful took any notice and the media brushed it all off as redneck rubbish. Which is largely why I chucked everything in the bin - it was all too hard.
