This photo, I knew that day I was pushing it, as we ourselves had just gotten home from Canberra and feeling tired from driving, but it was the love of trucks of wanting to take the photos of the convoy and wanting to cheer them on, that took me back to the Hume highway. Phil didn't mind, as I made sure he was ok to leave him for a bit, and my daughter was home if he needed anything.  And after talking to Noel in different discussions, will never forget when he told me he threw coal dust on his veggies, and hearing other different stories off different ones, then the poem was being put together, just felt I got to know him even more, and felt a need to drive a few hours to attend Noel's funeral, to my big surprise here was the photo I had taken of him on the leaflet, so overwhelmed with pride when I first saw it, then I knew why I had the strong feeling to attend this funeral, not just that, got to meet his lovely wife Jill and her sister Wendy just wonderful folk, I knew where noel got his friendly ways from his mum, just so great to talk too,  a great character indeed.  He certainly left a trail of great memories to keep.  What a wonderful gift he gave to everyone.
