Hi Rae I don't have the link handy but you could Google it. Australian scientists have invented a paint on solar panel, guess this is why we sold China our old solar technology.

I am interested in the solar panel ability to withstand a really good old fashioned hail storm, hail as big as golf balls or organes, not uncommon in this country, contrary to what some people seem to believe these days. Anyone have any feedback?.

Colin J Ely Comment by Colin J Ely on January 14, 2012 at 5:17pm

We have recently had a major hailstorm in Melbourne, also WA has experienced a cyclone. Does anyone have any idea how peoples solar panels and solar hot water systems stood up to these extreme weather events?

Having seen "Immigration" companies at work and how they Squeeze money after money after money from people to "Represent" and "Assist" them in their Visa or naturalisation claims/applications they are all most as bad as people smugglers. Taking gross advantage of people and treating them like cattle...

We have cultural issues as bad as any other country.

Our "Family" Courts encourage adversarial conduct and even condone false claims of sexual abuse and molestation to further the goals of the individual...

That is truely sickening and disturbing!

I've started a discussion  here in the Think Tank group about the situation in Japan.

The comment wall is good for a one off comment or for giving notice of an alert, event or whatever; but it does have the problem of sending an email to members of the group everytime a comment has been made.

Great comment by pennie scott quote " Why is little value attributed to longitidinal observation - up to 30 years - by people who live in one spot and have seen and monitored changes over space and time?  This is scathingly referred to as 'anecdotal' evidence".

I have noted this over the years of "consultation" by governments.

One thing we can do to support these observations is a good photographic record. In the scientific world there seems to be a more cordial reception to time series photography as a backup to careful observation. This tool, in vegetation studies at least, was given a help along by the careful collection of repeat photos published in the Darryl Lewis book" Slower Than the Eye can See" set in the Northern Territory.

To have life there has to be death.

What we would like to know is how we are going to die but that's not often possible.

Having a belief system, philosophy, faith or any other thing which fills this gap can be helpful.

We are all going to die - simple.
