Thanks Denise. I have always believed in climate change because we live in such a variable climate, but I have never believed in man made Global Warming.

We measured 2mm rain over the past two days so it hasn't been a completely dry month. As the rain was accompanied by a couple of claps of thunder it indicates the start of the spring storm season.
The wonderful thing about this farm is our capacity to store water when it rains. Many other Granite Belt farms are in an equally good situation this year when supposedly we are going into another El Nino drought. When you are using irrigation to grow crops, rain fall which can't be controlled is often damaging, but if you have sunny weather and plenty of stored water for irrigation life can be easier.

The early heat has finished off the golden daffodils but the later flowering white ones are now in full bloom to welcome guests at the front of Das Helwig Haus B&B
