Hi Denise,

Try this for real Green House Gas generation - for use in a greenhouse.

Runs off propane or butane to create 2,3,4, times greater CO2 than natural CO2.

When I read this I couldn't help laughing. No moer bubbly for Gillads celebrations or I suppose there is lot in storage in the cellar though.

Isn't it carbon dioxide that is sprayed to ripen fruit and veggies too? Wouldn't it be nice to know that everything was ripened naturally?

Ah Michaelng,

It's not the kiddies drinks you should be worried about, it's the beer production and wine making.

These are great producers of CO2.

Don't tell Gillard, Swan and Combet though.

Warning Shortage Of Carbon Dioxide

Will This Mean A Drop In Carbon Tax

Carbonated Soft drinks may be scarce due to lack of production of Carbon Dioxide

Al, post on the Galileo discussion too. A lot of people look there. People like Pur ves and Wooton need to be discussed because although riding an ice polar bear down George Street is not exactly being in the background, it does show the ability they have to 'get people in' by spending lots of money.

Rae Billett Comment by Rae Billett on December 30, 2011 at 7:30am

I have to thank the ABC because, until recently, Purves and Wooton have been in the background somewhat. Why people who would seem to be intelligent businessmen would associate themselves with the likes of Tim Flannery is quite remarkable. I wonder indeed what is in it for them? Is it for the historical accolades of "saving the planet" they have seen themselves receiving from a naive public? Is it really altruism? Imagine funding that book full of inaccuracies by Flannery. I really have to wonder about their intelligence.
But then Julia Gillard is said to be of high intelligence so I suppose I am answering my own question.

G'day (no bro?) al

I have just done a post thanks to Bev and Rae on the main TCS blog HERE.

I will go to your link and then may have to update the post

Cheers

Geoff, I posted a full report on the roles of millionaire farmers Purves and Wooton in all of this some time back in janet's 'Coalition Policy" forum, and then repeated it a couple of days ago here, with additional commentry on the Flannery / Purves Greenland escapade as featured in the 7.30 Report. The extract quoted by Rae came from that post, and there is a lot more, well worth reading.

As you may have missed it, here is a link.

Cheers  bro' al

Very Interesting 7:30 report from the alarmist ABC, Bev. And great report from Rae.

Rae's report shows that Flannery and Purvis are closely connected:

Robert Purves is more prolific, particularly since establishing the PEF in 2004. He has given millions of dollars to the WWF, is the primary sponsor of the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists and supports the core global team running Earth Hour. A polar bear made of ice that paraded through Sydney streets in June was also Purves-funded. Few people realise that Purves substantially funded the writing and extensive promotion of Tim Flannery’s book The Weather Makers.

We Just Groundsmen know how flawed that book is  -

The Weather Makers is shown to contain

  • 23 misinterpretations,
  • 28 contradictory statements,
  • 31 untraceable or suspect sources,
  • 45 failures to reflect uncertainty,
  • 66 over-simplifications or factual errors,
  • 78 exaggerations and over a hundred unsupported dogmatic statements, many of them quite outlandish. (LINK)

If only the ABC had real journalists with a degree of scepticism instead of advocates of climate change alarmism.
