Very Intersting Russ, why don't they look at Peter Whytcross' (our treasurer) submission instead of this bull****.
Yet another money grab. Our biger associations are in a position to step on this but they won't, they won't want to upset anybody!!
Yes Terrianne , They should look at Peter Whytecrosses submission.
I wonder what Ken Henry is planning to do after he is sacked from his present position, Because it is inevitable that he will be dismissed .
He shows no initiative , no foresight into the future .
He,s got nothing going for him at all.
Perhaps he,s trying to impress the Rail people , hoping for a position.
He would fit in well with them.

build this line . , close this line ., open up this line .
develope this line .
Oh! buggar it all.
Pull the line up and put it on road .It,s cheaper.
No on second thoughts.!
lets, spend 20 million on consultants to investigate ,How to get trucks off the road.

Buggar .?that didn,t work either .
Hey KRudd .?what are we gonna do?
Build more freeway,s .Increase rego charges . Put up fuel costs,
We ,ll get our money back somehow. Ken!

What a marvellous system ,we have in place .
Henry and Rudd , Flying trapeze.
bring the kids , coming to every country town.!

Time to regroup.
Well put Noel. I don't know why the idiots (and that is what they are) have not seriously investigated Peter's scheme. It's simple and fair and that is probably what is wrong with it.

Well maybe I do know why on second thoughts. They can't rip us of. Imagine running a rail line to McKinlay to deliver fuel.
Thanks Russ for posting that link, well no surprises there they just want to make it even tougher for us out on the road with no real gain what so ever . I would be surprised if Ken Henry would have even looked at our proposal. Reading between the lines you would wonder how the ATA came up with what they did , HMMM, I wonder.
I agree with all the above comments keep up the good work guys.
You know if you look around on Agmates at the action Peter Spencer has got going in the rural industry over land rights you have got to wonder what the hell is wrong with the trucking industry. We just sit back on our collective asses, get raped and then bellyache about it while the govt. continues to dish up b*******.

Peter your proposal was the ONLY one that exibited common sense and practiaclity something that our wonderful govt. leaders seem to have no idea of.
Yes, Russ and Noel, You blokes are good clear thinkers, Peter's proposal will be overlooked and we miss an opportunity to create a level playing field, under Peters system no-one will be able to rort the system, no special deals for multi-national carriers or mining companies and everyone contributes based on road use, the system Ken Henry will come up with will be convoluted and complicated, and like anything bureaucrats do it won’t work, and further to that we will be required to install tracking or logging devices at our cost to comply.
