From the Balls up in the Bush!!!! facebook group

This drill pipe had just left the yard following inspection/re-coating for storage, the truck wasn't travelling fast by any means but had to stand on his brakes and give way at the intersection and the pictures tell the rest. Driver was bruised and a little shaken but lived to tell the tale..

Bev,

I got home a couple of hours ago. Phew! Loved every minute! Dont dispair theres definitly going to be some good catch ups in the future. Glad you enjoyed the interview, hopefully theres a few more to come, we need to get the word out!  I waved to all the trucks on the way home and the grey nomads and the bikers! Though the latter werent real keen to wave back...oh well LOL. Its lovely and warm here at home (couldnt resist!) 35C (yeah thats a real climate change from Canberra!). The pics of the boys trailer banners are a total hit along the way. You guys are superstars!

We got there and back without so much as a flat tyre!! Now thats going over the governments head and straight to the Big Fellas heart aye! I must say though if it wasnt for the amazing support people gave us along the way this trip would not have been possible. We are so grateful for all the help!

Now we just need to keep this thing rolling!

cheers

Hey, Rashida,

I just heard you on Alan Jones - we get his pre-recorded broadcast at various times on different stations here.  You were just great to listen to.

I have always loved Big Trucks and I feel rather chuffed that I have been able to be involved with it all on Just Grounds and also taking part for a short journey with the #2 convoy from Atherton.

We are busy with the petition again and I am writing letters as I find the time to various people (politicians).

Glad you are nearly home again - only one sad thing - I still haven't got to meet you and Cate and all the others from JG yet!!!.

Never say never though.

Hi Guys,

We are nearing Katherine (only 500km till we pull in at home) Had an absolute blast in Canberra and loved road tripping with you all! Will be right up them as soon as my laptop gets back on the desk.We wont get home till tomorow night as I have a few folks to call in on.  I am absolutly blown away by the efforts of the NRFA and proud (and very surprised) to be an honourary member. You know your only fueling my addiction to all things road train!!! LOL. I intend to hit the top end media pretty hard once I get home. We will sock it to them!

Cheers

Rashida

Hi,  I just got back a little while ago, and Im mad as hell!

Not only did they block the convoys from coming in, but then they laugh at all those people who drove across the whole country to be there!!!

A few trucks got police permission to park on the medium strip, and when someone went back later they had stickers on them. They were all fined.

People wernt even allowed into parliament house with so much as a sticker on their clothes.

One of the last speakers who is about to go bankrupt mentioned a food blockade as a last resort.

But what if it was just the ACT?

Imagine doing a trucker black ban just for the Queanbean/ ACT area.

Thats sustainable, and it wouldnt wipe out the trucking industry or farmers.

Would that be possible?

Hi all - will "dress up" my ute and join the convoy - I guess the white convoy as I'm out west of Sydney in the hawkesbury area - see u all on the road!

My husband, Matt, and I are putting our hands up to organise the Perth convoy.  Do any of you have any personal contacts with Perth-based trucking companies that you can give me?  I know a few in the livestock/grains industries, but need all I can get.  Any help appreciated.

We've lost our entire lives savings, our beef cattle feedlot business and a great mate to suicide all due to the anthropogenic global warming movement and out-of-control bureaucracy.  We owe it to ourselves, our children, our unsecured creditors, and our friend Lindley to ensure our battle is not for nought.

Let's stop this carbon tax before it stops our country!

I sure hope I can meet you all in Canberra on the 22nd!

Cheers,
Janet

I like your passion cate stuart , alot of people cant aford or dont have the time from work to go in the convoy so I am encouraging people  to spread the word and if in a town that the convoy will travel through get out and show their support with flags and signs and try and get local media to show the convoys going through their town .
