Can somebody - Steve/Wally?? confirm whether or not the deadline has been extended "to the 17 March" - as per
http://agmates.ning.com/group/peterspencerhungerstrike

The post on the Government site http://www.aph.gov.au/Senate/committee/fapa_ctte/climate_change/inf... still says closure date was 5 March

i called the number on the aph site on Friday 5/3/10 and although I had heard the time for submissions had been extended for the floodbound to 17/3/10 I got the impression they would like to have any extra submissions by 15/3/10. I think this was just to speed things up a bit as they have more than on inquiry going.
Why not call and find out if you have missed the deadline? We certainly are getting a little extra consideration.

Because of flooding in Queensland, the Senate Inquiry Committee has announced that submissions will be accepted until 17th March. If you need more information call the Inquiry office on 02 6277 3530.

Rang and got recorded message - is public holiday in Canberra today - hopefully will find out "for sure" tomorrow morning...

I got return call from the Senate Finance and Public Administration Committee office - confirming thay are allowing an extension of about 1 week. Office will update the site tomorrow http://www.aph.gov.au/Senate/committee/fapa_ctte/climate_change/inf...

In mean time - if you are still working on a submission, or know someone who might be, or could be or should be - can you let them know - there will be an extension perhaps to end of week or longer...
