For Like minded people who like to see-
This group site is specifically for people who have endured abuse from their bank - AND those who wish to learn about banking "practices" while supporting those who are in dire situations financially even though "you" may not be.
The need to seek remedy with a financial institution appears to be a one way street – with all the accountability on the client, yet none on the bank – this is just one of the bluff’s that banks force upon clients.
They have the ear of powerful people, politicians, endorsed by farmers lobby groups – all smoke and mirrors to everyday people whom fall on hard times, yet come up with solutions that are workable –however, “the bank” denies them the opportunity to make good, with reasonable solutions seeking an amicable remedy for all.
If you decide to tell your story here on the site, please leave out names of individual persons and use an “X”.
This group site is for those who need support, who feel alone, for sharing experiences of what works and what does not work when dealing with financial institutions.
There is a need and a demand for this site. If you know someone who is going through mediation, bankruptcy, enduring bullying tactics by financial institutions – let them know there is this place to come where they are not alone and together let us see if we can raise the profile of the ever increasing disease that is being inflicted on hard working Australians called “the bank disease”.
In addition, here is the link if you are repulsed by the stories you read from fellow Australians to contact MP's

Yes I know about Joe Hockey he also pushed for self-regulation of banks which has really worked well - not
Joe Hockey's wife is a big bwanker, Turnbull and no doubt others all approve of these takings. Barnaby had to shut up about "Cubbie" even though it was on his doorstep.
Claire -our three kids are 5th generation on this thankless block- plenty of war service from my elders and we are good at what we do and I didn't have any debt till lately and it takes no time to run up 100K on a slippery slope- and YES -I'm with the NAB!
Yes we are free but still not willing to give up the fight, got nothing to lose now, will be continuing to expose the NAB Toxic Farm Loans, those Agribusiness managers need to be made accountable. Will be continuing to fight for the farmers and small business. Check out Clause 30 of the Code of Banking Practice about advertising, lies lies lies. God help family farmers if our experience with the NAB is an example of how all the banks are treating other family farmers, there will be none left and it will have rural communities run by large corporations. More often than not these family farmers leave the community in shame, and it was these people that opened up Australia and have so much to contribute to the social and environmental side of life in these areas.
I read somewhere that the number of genuine family farms in Australia as of 2010 hit the dangerously-low figure of 40,000, down sharply from 120,000 two decades earlier in 1991, and from 204,000 in 1953. There must be so many family farmers out there with the same story as us.
So much for the NAB Social and Corporate Responsibility department of which Tim Costello is a board member.
Well the USSR ended in having massive famines when the cental govt decried the rules for growing food and between the rapacious big four banks, govt regulation. lobby group interference, lack of help ( labour and the ability to pay for same)- This country is f***** from top to botom. The lunatics are running the asylum in Canberra and Chris and Claire at least you're both free to pyursue a more rewarding career now.
Comment by Cate Stuart on May 7, 2013 at 8:27pm Live Export agenda today in Richmond - not much joy there - farmers just needing to "vent" - the new drought package wont be ready until next year...how many farmers will be sent to the wall by then? Struth - $18.50 or .10kg per beast - oh yeah, 1974 similarities here..only a few more factors to fall into place and it will be history repeating itself - I hope not.. High Aussie $, live -x, drought, this is not a very good combination, on top of only 3 good seasons, and before that high % rates, GFC and drought..years and years of drought..is it really worth $18.50? Nope, I think not
Comment by Cate Stuart on May 6, 2013 at 9:45pm Good advice there Roo, and by the way, welcome to the group, and sharing your story here.
Rob, that is a tad scary to digest...banks are behaving badly everywhere - and so are valuers - it is a very manipulative industry the Money lending industry isnt it? Anyone had problems with valuations, and financial institutions?
Comment by Roo Palmer on May 4, 2013 at 11:17am We were with the Commonwealth and the ANZ for a long time. I loathed the uncommicative, lazy, 'feel like a number rather than person', service. We then applied to get a personal loan from the ANZ to renovate our house after the flood, but they said 'no' so we got our own back and left them cold and changed banks to the Bendigo. To me the Bendigo Bank is the best.. we can call the tellers by the first names, they say hello, they don't push other stuff onto you and you feel more like a person in that bank than anywhere else. I'm so pleased to be away from the BIG 4. Bendigo is awesome

Leon is joined by Michael Fraser - 'The Arbitrator' and organizer of the Commonwealth Bank Victims of Fraud Branch Tour 2013. Michael is filling a bus with 50 victims of Commonwealth Bank fraud, a film crew, journalists, and driving from Brisbane to Commonwealth Bank head office in Sydney.
Wayne Styles one of the Victims of Fraud joins us to tell his story of how the Commonwealth Bank has played a big role in fraudulent lending. Well over 1000 customers are stuck in fraudulent low doc loans, and despite attempts the CEO and senior management refuse to engage with us despite our peaceful, constructive approach.
