We did it.  Thanks to the hundreds of Queenslanders who have joined TQP in the last week, our membership rose from 160 on Monday morning to over 600  members as of noon yesterday!

Members will receive your membership number and a new member pack shortly by email, fax or post.

Members who are on the Electoral roll will soon receive a confirmation letter from the ECQ with a stamped return envelope.  Simply sign the letter to confirm your membership and post it back to the ECQ.  This will be a very important step – one you must ensure you take, as soon as you can after you get that letter, as only those who reply within the stated time, confirming their membership, will be counted in the necessary 500 + members that we need.

Do the Maroons stop when they score the first try?  No.

We want to go on to kick some real goals. We want a strong and vibrant party that is based on what the people of Queensland want. To do this, we need to continue building our member base and our policies.

As a result, we have extended the Limited Time only offer of free membership until 30th October – so if you know anyone who wants to join but thinks it is too late, please let them know that they can still join up – for free by clicking here.

We will be debating and announcing fresh policies in the lead up to the Annual Convention – and the more members we have, the better we can serve our electorates.

The Queensland Party is your community minded, common sense, money-wise party who will seek to make the government of the day answerable to the people of Queensland.

Over the coming weeks, The Queensland Party will be listening to the many community and professional organisations in Queensland – all over Queensland.   We would also like to hear directly from any member.  Please click here to share what YOU want from responsible government for your community.

You can learn more about The Queensland Party here: www.queenslandparty.org.au.

I have put up a blog here, just in case our website goes down again from all of the traffic.

Again, thank you – we could not have made it over the first hurdle without you.

Ha ha.  The fax was running hot again last night too.  More members from all over Queensland.  My fax should pick up after three or four rings.  I am as sick as a dog from this flu/cold.  But I am soldiering on.

Thank you Greg - all new members will be contacted by the ECQ of course to confirm membership.  It is a matter of signing the letter and putting it in the self addressed stamped envelope back to the ECQ.

More members have signed up today, and we hope to grow the membership to 1,000 so that TQP can listen to members from all over Queensland!
