For Like minded people who like to see-
Honestly have we all lost our senses? Read this.
IF FIRE engulfs a piggery in Monto, its residents can rest easy. That fluorescent exit sign above the doors will save their bacon.
In one of the most ridiculous rules stifling small business in Queensland, piggery operators are required to install illuminated exit signs inside pens occupied solely by pigs.
Please send me examples of laws set by the Queensland Government which deserve stupid o' the year gong.

Permalink Reply by Ruth Bonnett on November 10, 2011 at 1:13pm Dale, the world is a very different place than the sane one I grew up in. These are stupid laws and this is just one tiny example of how productive people are asked to spend their time and energy to serve the obstructive class. The Government of Queensland has turned from a benign non productive class to a cancer that must be removed: Obstructive, Destructive and Curable with the right dose of medicine.
Permalink Reply by Ruth Bonnett on November 14, 2011 at 6:57am Names removed from Taxi Driver Identification. Good grief.
Photo IDs set to be introduced in Brisbane taxis will no longer include drivers' names, due to a fear passengers may verbally abuse cabbies over their foreign names.
From November 30, cab drivers in Brisbane and the Gold Coast will be required to display authorised Queensland taxi driver display cards in their cabs.
Permalink Reply by Wayne Robert Smith on November 18, 2011 at 10:15am Another example of how overregulated this country is. Small business is struggling with about 90,000 pages of rules and most have completely given up on the idea of expansion. I was reading in one newspaper how a real estate office with 8 staff had one employee completely dedicated to filling out forms and nothing else. I considered opening a restaurant myself about 15 years ago and threw up my arms in frustration when I realised just how much red tape was involved. Its a wonder anybody gets a new business off the ground nowadays.
Exit signs for pigs? Sadly I'm not that surprised.
