Jeff it interested me to see Katter's comment.    If there are 1100 pages of findings AGAINST Thomson and Williams, what is Katter on about ?    If he wants to continue to support a thief,  I wouldn't think it would bode well with his own political party.

Very true Denise.

The Laurie Oakes interview of Thompson was interesting but somewhat soft.

If you claim you were set up and you also claim you were told you were going to be set up, then wouldn't you be on the lookout for this 'being set up'. Thompson authorised all these payments through the financial department of the HSU and not one of them was at the time brought to anyones attention so he wasn't watching very closely to his 'being set up'. Oakes could have pushed this much harder in the interview.

It will be interesting days ahead.

Part of the title of this thread is "Will Craig Thompson retain his seat ???"

One can wish for him losing his seat, and his RR's as well.

It has been said numerous times, if he was in the corporate world, he'd be doing time by now.

Craig Thomson is going to get up in Parliament next Tuesday and "give his side of the story". He will accuse people within the HSU of 'setting him up' and no doubt he will name names under Parliamentary privilege!!

 

He cannot be sued and even if this 'set up' did take place which is a far, far stretch of the imagination, this man has no moral code. He seems to believe he is in the right because there were 'no rules' regarding credit card expenses. What about moral rules Craig? What about the fact that you and others believed it was okay to use union members dues to enhance your personal lifestyle.

 

He apparently believes, prostitutes aside, that it is okay to draw cash, buy personal items and expect the HSU to pay all his legal expenses to bail him out of bankruptcy when he wrongly sued the Herald Sun! The whole thinks stinks and Craig Thomson should never have been given the seat od Dobell to contest. This is the Labor Party at it's corrupt depth - anything it takes! AND they are still protecting him!!!!!!!

Important news Ex Fairfax Journalist Michael Smith gave an interview to Ben Fordham on 2GB This afternoon and having some time ago interviewed Thomson himself gave a very vital clue that Craig Thomsen is history,It seems Victorian Police were in NSW late this week interviewing people regarding this Criminal investigation so things are moving much quicker now.

But with a background as an Ex Victorian Detective Michael Smith made some points that if they heard them will have Gillard and Thomson quaking in their boots.

It was explained by Michael Smith that when these transactions occured regarding the Brothels we used a different system for Credit card transactions and as he being involved with the original Fairfax lawsuit and because Craig Thomson persisted in his actions against Fairfax for way too long that allowed Documents to be tabled and Fairfax gained acess to these documents legally.

Here is the killer punch with his background as a detective he explained that back then the older paper Receipts were treated with Chemicals that retained Fingerprints,Victorian Police should now have these in their posession and there is irrefutable proof of most likely Craig Thomsens Guilt,They just have to be treated with the reactive chemicals to reveal whose fingerprints are on the Receipts.

 

Lets see Katter,Windsor,Gillard,Swan,Albanese and Oakshot worm their way out of that one as they seem to be the most blatant supporters of Thomsens so called innocence as they also have the most to loose.

Now that that information is widely publicised if any evidence goes "Missing" then we simply catch more fish in the net somewhere down the road.

 

If ever there was reason for a full and open public Royal Commision into all Unions with a Change of Government this is the Catalyst for such an Inquiry,Time to clean out the Political Scum from whence they hide no rock should remain unturned regardless of Political affiliations.

After all Bob Brown has yet to face investigation regarding the Dealings about the Ex Gunns Property in Tasmania and his Ties to the New Owner the person responsible for the largest ever Political Donation in Australian History to the Greens.

I am sure there are some hiding in Liberal ranks who also need to come under the glare of investigation as well so no Bias look very closely at them all and especially any with UN ties.

It is Time for Australians to take back their Country,If anything good has come out of this Contemptable Gillard Government and this corrupt Thomson affair it has awoken a sleeping giant amongst the Australian Public regardless of Background or standing socially or any other unique attributes we have united against this Government.

Who's pulling the strings.

Just heard on ABC news that the AEC has said that it was quite ok for Thomson not to have disclosed the HSU money being used on his election campaign. Strange, firstly they said a few days ago that the statute of limitations had expired so they wouldn't be looking into it and now this.

The way it is going the prick will end up with a sainthood.
