There was a senate enquiry into issues relating to farm finance not too long ago, that came to WA and took submissions. I didn't participate and haven't seen the report, but I suspect you could still make a submission. I know that Senator Eggleston was one of those on the committee.

You are one of many who have been picked off by these as you say sociapaths. Use this website to find friendship and to know that others have walked the same road as yourself.
Australian politicians have been for many years setting Australia up for what is now happening. Treaties have been signed that are meant to destroy Australia and take away our basic right to earn a decent living. Other treaties have been signed that intend to take away our property and to the Gatt agreement will see our jobs given to others.
We may end up living somewhere in a cave or walking along the side of the highway and killing and catching to survive. This is not the country that I wanted to see my grandchildren inherit.

I didn't mean to be short with Jason. He has not been treated in good faith. I am getting lots of calls from people with similar problems. So far, I haven't received a single one from someone with problems from Commonwealth, ANZED, Bankwest, Rabo, Bendigo, Westpac, or Sunwest.

To confront an institution like the NAB is not easy. It takes courage, intestinal fortitude, stupidity and selfishness to attempt to stand up for what’s right. There have been many times when I have wanted to hoist the white flag and just disappear with my tail between my legs and just start my life over again. But that is not going to help the next business, farmer, or family that have had there soul and spirit ripped out because of the actions of this vicious organization. My story is not uncommon.
My children sense the bitterness that has evolved me like a cancer and no longer look to there father, for guidance or inspiration. I have five beautiful girls that have had there hearts crushed.

regards to what and whenever foreclosure.
some years ago i applied for a Bank SA homeloan a HUGE sum of 20k( less than a car, for a house and land)
when I read the contract is stated they could -at anytime -enter the property and inspect it.
IF? they did not like the appearance or state of repair...
they could demand 30 day repayment of the whole owed sum, or foreclose.
I dont know if all docs have that hidden in them, I sure had to look.
I refused the loan at a cost of 330$ I had forked out to be treated like dirt, for weeks -before they gave me a couple of hours between getting the contract delivered and signing it.

Jason has contacted SOS-NEWS and we are on the case. Our investigator in WA has the relevant documents and given me info we are following along. She further uncovered this little gem concerning the NAB back in June 2009 that dropped from media followup very quickly.

Muslims get interest-free loans

ONE of Australia's major banks is planning to introduce "Muslim-friendly" loans that do not charge interest, to comply with Sharia law.

Instead, the National Australia Bank will structure an Islam-approved line of finance to make money from alternative methods.

These include profit-sharing on the transaction, joint-ventures or leasing-type arrangements.
For example, to get round the Islamic ban on usury - or unfair lending - a Muslim mortgage often works by the bank buying the property, then selling it to the customer at a profit, with the customer then repaying the entire sum in instalments.

In this way the profit margin is built in from the start. It also has the advantage of making the loan immune from future interest rate rises.

NAB said the loans, which will start out small, will have to be cleared by a Sharia Advisory Board to ensure they meet strict criteria before they can be made available to the public.

"We are dipping our toe in the water with this scheme and thought we may be able to offer this product in high-density Muslim areas," said Richard Peters, head of community finance and development at NAB.

"We suspect there is demand out there, but we don't know how big it is, so we will trial a few products first."
For the trial's purposes NAB will pump $15 million from its not-for-profit finance division into the program, which will distribute the funds through various community finance schemes around the country. The bank will monitor the take-up and assess potential demand.

Interest-free loans of up to $1000 will be available to help finance household items, such as washing machines and fridges.

The loans would also be available to non-Muslims.

Mal,
I remember reading the above article (I also remember my blood pressure rising to dangerous levels once again). Can you imagine the banks doing this for us...not in a million years, in fact look what they are doing to families like the Thompsons, Jason's family and countless others while bending over backwards to accommodate the selective minorities.
You are correct in saying the issue was dropped by the media very quickly. Isn't this what happens continuously. There are so many issues in this country, we can't keep track of them all, we move on to the next and then the next. Just what governments want. As JeffT would say 'controlled chaos'. Keep their heads spinning, keep them busy...we'll keep bamboozling them with BS while entering through the back door to achieve what WE (government) want.

HI Jason,

Ditto to your losing your house. We have been in conflict with the ??? bank for over 9 months now. The FOS had a look at the case and now say the bank can have it all. If we do not agree it will go to determination at the FOS.
Have produced many many errors by the bank in the original assessment of our loan, but it appears they can just do as they please without any reprise. Code of Conduct appears to be useless as are them unilaterally changing names on the contracts to principals of the company that did not apply for the loan, Losing files, not adhering to their own conditions precedent on 5 occassions. etc etc. Hail the ausssie banking system our banks the winners again. Has anyone ever, ever beaten them. Joe Hockey is right they have far to much control, goverment included.

One of Wesern australias biggest dairy producer (Challenge Australia Dairy) Capel Valley Cheese, has gone into voluntary administration one day before NAB had officially appointed receivers. Dont know to much about the details yet, but one thing i do know is that at least 30 farmers have been directly affected and will not receive there money.
