G'day Alan,

I'm with you and Jennifer Marohasy on this.

The barriers are being protected because of the development, complete with marina and canal development on Hindmarsh Island.

Lots of high end buildings, boats in the marina, services for boats.

Have a look on Google Earth and use Street View to walk around.

Pull out the barriers and the value of property would plummet, like the water level in the Goolwa Channel.

Crikey, they may have to dredge the channel, to float a tinny.

IMHO of course.

This MBDP appears to have some severe holes in it's structure.

For example -; WHY are there 56 Programs that are funded by Govt when most could be Holistically restructured to form a much smaller nucleus of operation. This would deminish the size of Govt Agency and save Millions of Dollars.

Oh -- wait -- Sorry -- Just answered my own Question, (Smaller Govt ?? = Sure -- Right) ! ! !

In addition -; under the "Risk" to Program == Why tout the good actions of Government structure and Finance in the Business Plan ?? This begs the question -; What constitutes a "Risk" ??

Then there is the further issue of Federal Funding. The SA Government structure says costing for this is Budgeted at $13 Million for 2013-14, $10 Million for 2014-15 and $10 Million for 2015-16.

All very good numbers -- BUT -- the Federal Government handout program ends June 30, 2013 which beggs another Question -; How can Budgets that have been allocated to programs be viable OR even commence if funding has already been stopped ?? Currently there is nothing to replace this shortfall.

This is just a few "HOLES" that I have picked out in the space of just Five Pages from this report. I'd hate to guess how many more "Holes" there are in the rest of this "Business Plan".  

So how many Farmers and Landcare groups are being sold what appears to be -; "a Bill of Goods" ?? and WHAT is the Likely Fall-out at Social and Economic Levels. ??

Does this constitute -; More CORRUPTION ??
