Voting does it need to change?. And letters from local member and emails about goverment news.

Voting

I remember just before I turned 18 it was such a privilege to vote, and you were really wanting to do right by your country,  I’m sorry as I see it, its so different now, but am worried now as where I live, I was ask to attend an Italian club for a celebration yesterday, brought up politics talking about Julia, not one Italian on that table did not know too much about her and could not carry on the conversation about Julia; we were a table of 8. And those 8 women would be voting at next election, and would probably be voting with the first bit of paper handed to them labor written all over it, along with all the new immigrants that have shifted in have been naturalized and given a heap of money of labor to start them off.  And so naturally they would vote labor, that’s why I am in a labor seat, I have Italians , Greeks , Chinese, English, liberaness, you name it all around me.   Pauline Hanson was right, the voting system needs to be reviewed badly, we have voters out here, that really don’t know whom their voting for and just go on that first bit of paper or what they have been swayed with when first coming on to Australian shores, or who are voting for because Julia might have be seen in doing something nice on the tellie.   That’s why this is a labor seat in Reservoir.   I’m actual so frustrated, and really if I didn’t vote, no one would even notice one lib vote, and the other thing the computer is getting all the voting wrong anyway.  There are big muck ups in the voting system.

Have also been getting emails from friends about this government and their concerns.

Local member's news as well.

And with utube been able to show some different clips on government what there've been up too.

Am curious what your views are on this subject.

I think it needs to be look into before the next alection, how can this be fair the way it is, yes labor want do it, because its going there way, everyone says when the next alection comes she will get voted out,

as I see in our electric, it will be the same old same old, who really just doesn't want to lern about julia and is quite happy to vote for her just the same. this is not fair, the voting system needs changing badly.

The whole system is wrong. It should be first past the post is the winner. No preferences. If there were no preferences the Greens would hold no seats. The preference swap deal is a gateway for corruption.
Spot on Leon, look at the load of Crap governing us now, mostly in on the donkey vote.

In our last Council election -  because of the "unity ticket" preferences,  one bloke got in having polled eleven votes and another polled fourteen.  Yet, good independent candidates who polled hundreds of votes didn't get a look in.  (of course it's a Labor controlled council).  When I confronted the Mayor, he tried to say that those figures were incorrect and was embarrassed when I showed him the printout from the Electoral Commission website,  then the b******* just shrugged and said " oh well that's the system".  The two that did get in are just lackeys and an absolute waste of space.

HI JAN

Its all wrong, when we have people who just vote because they will get fined if they don't,  and don't know the person whom their really voting for and use the first bit of paper given to them.  And most of these women in our district vote what their husbands vote for, because they don't know any better, or have no wish to either,  and majority have that so wrong. THIS SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE FORE FRONT BEFORE NEXT ALECTION.  I will be attending another meetiong at the town hall about it and will be writting some letters also and emails, this can't go unnoticed anymore.

Thanks for that reply Leon, so mad with this stupid system, was great back in the good old days when everything was just and fair, everyone had a good moral outlook on how it should be.  But it’s no longer their anymore.  Their thinking its going our way so we won't say anything about this , as we are getting plenty of votes for nothing in this electric to support us, maybe because all these different nationalities just won't notice its all our way because they can't be botherd learning what its all about.   I will be going to the next council meeting and writing letters and emails, its going unnoticed, no longer can just sit back and say nothing, when its unfolding in front of me.

Hello Gorden, You have to wonder, do they think we are that stupid and gullible to sit back and just keep on taking this crap on every level, just name it its all screwed.

Barb, you got it in one, dont bother about the language or spelling , you got your message out loud and clear and I am sure most of us "thinking Australians" will agree 100% with you. Thank You.

Gordon.

Many years ago I used to vote but I have now realised that we are not really voting for any properly identified legal person.  TONY ABBOTT MP is the person identified as the leader of the opposition and our previous labour canditate in Leichardt was an entity identified as JIM TURNOUR MP.

The issue is that these two persons do not really exist as the leader of the opposition was born and named Anthony John Abbott (born 4 November 1957) and the other clown was born James Pearce Turnour.

So if TONY ABBOTT MP and JIM TURNOUT MP are sitting in the parliament and legally representing their constituents and sending out propergander allegdly signed by Tony and Jim are these documents forged or false or are we just to assume that this is all legal and above board.

It is a scamm but you will need to look at your own names first on your electricity Bills, Council Rates notices, Bank cards and account names, phone bills and official government correspondance which gets sent in the window envelopes with no stamps being used.

 Hi to all

Am certain of it now, it needs to change fast, as I was writing a letter out to my local member found on his web site, that some people have voted 2 and 3 times over.  Is this how labor got into power?

I've had this discussion up and running way before the veggie patch and getting ready for Christmas.

and now I find what I had thought was happening did happen, and so raising this discussion again and bringing it to the fore front, as its paramount that it needs to be change in the way we vote,  don’t want labor in again by false voters.

Don’t want everyone’s hard work, even the convoy wasted or all the letter writing that has been done by people voting 2 and 3 times. I have mention this also in my letter to my local lib member.
