For Like minded people who like to see-
I'm wondering if you guys ever noticed the difference between vitamins.
I never really looked at the label besides what it was for...until a friend of mine, who studied chemistry told me the difference between cyano and methycobalomin. Here are two links which briefly explains it.

I don't know if it's just me who was unaware that there are different forms of B12. But I would certainly have appreciated if my GP would have told me about it, not just telling me to get B12 from any shop/chemist. If there is a better quality, even if it's more expensive, I'd rather chose that one. But only if I know about it. I think only the cyanocobalomine is available in shops, the methyl one is available over the internet. In the US there are also patches which are available, and seems to be more effective.

Cyancobalamine is a more stable form of Vit B12 than methylcobalamine. Cyanocbalamine is converted in the body to the methyl variety, with a tiny remainder of cyanide, which is excreted.
If you ate some stone fruit kernels or some seeds you would also ingest a minute amount of cyanide. Cyanide is also a natural product, it's just that it's production and use has gotten a bad name as a poison.
Here's a run down on foods that source Vit B12 in natural forms and also intrinsic factor.

If your a vegan or vegetarian, changes the picture though.
