Two Australian Heros- that don't Give up the Fight!

        Hello members,

Have just got back after a 10 day holiday to the Gulf - fishing , 10 other blokes - no radio ,computers  and was very good to clear the mind and reflect.

I had almost resolved to put a hammer through this and vanish into thin air due to the hopelessness  of all the time and energy spent for zero results. The country has stagnated and when things are rotten -right at the top -it is little wonder that even the opposition( while far from perfect themselves ) have not laid a glove on this pathetic national Government.  PLEASE - every one sit through this interview between Alan and Michael.

Forget Political allegences and just think about the integrity of these people that are sending us over the cliff. We all know what goes on but when Smithy is brave enough to run with it - he looses his job. News Ltd and Fairfax both turn to water over the threats made! With the unseen powers involved - we see the root cause of every single issue that peeves us all off on here. I won't reach for the hammer yet as these two haven't given up  and with the content of this interview, could well be the catalyst to purge them all forever . We must support their efforts by sending the links to anyone that might read them as surely they must go when this sinks in- where is the Governer General?????

"I've done nothing wrong - Gillard defends record at law firm"....

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/ive-done-nothing-w...

Yep, and she still insists that she can control the world's climate from her office in Canberra using Australian tax-dollars.

As the denials begin to mount, so does the evidence....

Will Hedley Thomas be the next journalist to suddenly get the sack?

If this topic does get raised in parliament, a carefullly-scripted ABC-style production is a likely scenario.

Watch out for the crocodile-tears, the kid-gloves, the vague replies...and then the other controlled-media favourite - microscopic focus on another topic elsewhere to divert attention. Or alternatively scapegoat one party so the net doesn't get cast too wide. If none of this looks like convincing the sheeple, they could always axe a few more journalists - or bring on another leadership spill.

Rory,  It seems that it may be raised this week if the following is anything to go by :

"  But the opposition has demanded Ms Gillard to provide a personal explanation about the issue when parliament resumes sitting this week.

"There are serious questions that need to be answered," Liberal frontbencher Christopher Pyne said.

"The intensity (of this issue) has become much more dramatic."

Ms Gillard’s rebuffs comes after Nick Styant-Browne, a former equity partner of the firm, broke a 17-year silence broke his silence at the weekend to reveal Ms Gillard was interviewed about the affair in 1995.

Mr Styant-Browne said during that Ms Gillard stated in the interview that she could not categorically rule out that she had personally benefited from union funds in the renovation of her Melbourne house."

Bro'Al. "O!The tangled web we weave, when first we set out to deceive" But this is unfolding better than "When a Girl Marries" or "Martin's Corner"

Well, as everybody even remotely interested will know by now, it has now been raised by Paul Kelly directly with the PM on Sky, live this morning. Reference to that was picked up by Barry Cassidy before he closed The Insiders (on which that Seccombe person was back again), then Andrew Bolt  gave it a good old boot along with Labor identity  (and IMHO, very reasonable and influential man) Warren Mundine and (again, IMHO, not so likable) Michael Kroger. And even ultra left friendly Meet the Press couldn't entirely avoid it.

So, Question Time next week could be a ripper, with much potential for adjournment debates!

Cheers  bro' al

'All good things come to those who wait' and do a lot of background work, write blogs, share information and keep the ball rolling so that it gains momentum and then BANG!

My goodness Bob !   When a girl marries !!!!!!  I'd forgotten about that, though I still remember Blue Hills.

Al you may not like Michael Kroger and that's your prerogative, however he knows what he is talking about,  and whilst the very likeable Mr Mundine kept saying, "It'll have to be dealt with" and not much else ,  Mr Kroger did point out some very serious legal breaches that a lawyer (in this case Ms Gillard) should not have allowed.  No File - for one.  I can't see that it will be simple for her to get out of that,  as I'm certain there will be a lot of lawyers on the "other side" examining the entire process.  Slater and Gordon are attempting to disassociate with the Slater and Gordon of the first half of the 1990's,  and I imagine they will not hesitate to do whatever is necessary to clear their name.

Smug? Yep, one tough lady......for the moment at least, but these are early daze

You sum for the momentmed it up succinctly Bob, and touche Jan, re Kroger / Mundine. As I said, could be an interesting week ahead. That should of course be "should be an interesting week ahead" but given the tangles of the web to which Bob has alluded, who knows? She still seems smug ;-(

Cheers  bro' al

Then again maybe now is the time Gillard will throw Thomsen and Slipper under the Bus to bring on the ultimate distraction an Election just so she can save her sorry backside,I would be totally prepared for her to Destroy anybody to save herself.

Jan, I should have said,"Blue Hills" because my mother and Gran and Auntie Gladys had a ritual for Blue Hills where all the dishes were done, the washing in the machine, the table cleared and the three of them got all comfortable and fixated. The Airzone Superheterodyne radio turned up with "Sally bawling her eyes out because Tom said he didn't love her anymore" . I was in my room and when I heard the bawling and wailing I thought one of them had died and as I ran into the room the three of them shouted together SSSHHHHHH. I think I was about 7

This is a podcast from 2GB yesterday Ben Fordham and Michael Smith, who was sacked over Gillard. Very interesting listening to Michael Smith, there is a lot more to this issue, not opening a file and deceiving the regulatory authorities, plus.

The documents Michael Smith speaks of, are on Ben Fordhams page on 2GB.
