For Like minded people who like to see-
Hello members,
Have just got back after a 10 day holiday to the Gulf - fishing , 10 other blokes - no radio ,computers and was very good to clear the mind and reflect.
I had almost resolved to put a hammer through this and vanish into thin air due to the hopelessness of all the time and energy spent for zero results. The country has stagnated and when things are rotten -right at the top -it is little wonder that even the opposition( while far from perfect themselves ) have not laid a glove on this pathetic national Government. PLEASE - every one sit through this interview between Alan and Michael.
Forget Political allegences and just think about the integrity of these people that are sending us over the cliff. We all know what goes on but when Smithy is brave enough to run with it - he looses his job. News Ltd and Fairfax both turn to water over the threats made! With the unseen powers involved - we see the root cause of every single issue that peeves us all off on here. I won't reach for the hammer yet as these two haven't given up and with the content of this interview, could well be the catalyst to purge them all forever . We must support their efforts by sending the links to anyone that might read them as surely they must go when this sinks in- where is the Governer General?????

Permalink Reply by Dr Caroline Wright on July 25, 2012 at 1:40pm Welcome back Rob. I used to really enjoy fishing before my arthritis-induced immobility prevented my participation. My biggest catch was a 10.4kg Blue Groper off the beach at Hargraves Beach at the Entrance in NSW. It took me an hour to land him with my husband eventually going into the shallows to grab him under the gills to get the fish up the beach.
But back to the political situation you have raised. As the evidence is mounting and there have been politicians interfering with freedom of the press I have been wondering what is the Governor General's role in this situation? What is in the Australian Constitution to guide and give direction to our next step in this whole sordid affair? Is it time for Tony Abbott to approach the Governor General for some guidance as to how he and we can deal with the abuse of power of some of people in power in the Labor Party?
I do not think a change of leader in the Labor Party will solve this problem unless the new leader has no past Union affiliations so that this issue can be dealt with in a manner that is both responsible and accountable. Any ideas anyone re what the next step should be?
Kind regards
Caroline
Permalink Reply by Dr Caroline Wright on July 25, 2012 at 2:45pm It is a good point you have made Alan about attachments for politicians staff and for each member of Just Grounds Community.
Some I have received a cokie 'textEnhance' which I am not able to get rid of no mater what I do. I have looked it up on the net and do what they say but it does not help. It will noy do any damage but it is just anoying as your go to click on a blue underlined word and it is about buying a mobile phone or earning money at home etc.
Fond regards

Permalink Reply by vivienne skeen on July 25, 2012 at 6:10pm Hi Rob
Many on JG have been sending the interview far and wide. as usual the press here are useless, and they wonder why no one is buying their papers. As for the GG she is in Labor's pocket.
As Tony says the Pickering Post in flying with it and Quadrant have transcribed the interview.
We just have to keep on but it is frustrating as hell.
Glad you had a good break! Vivienne
I realise now that the interview was a week old or so. It is hard to believe that these accusations can be publicly broadcast in full knowlege of the libel laws. Silence from the Government and police and attorney general and the Union hierarchy- simply is not an option.
These two people would not have risked everything unless they had the evidence. This whole carry on is as seedy and fraudulent as any protection racket run by crooks. What Nixon did at Watergate hotel is looking pretty tame by comparison imo!
Thanks for the messages above- I am no fisherman but I enjoyed eating the nice fish and mudcrabs- saw 4 big fat crocs- so no swimming- plenty of beer and poker. The highlight for me was the 2400 km trip up and seeing all the vast areas and country and cattle etc. The quality of the land and cattle in the NT and across the Barkly tableland surprised me and the roads there are the best that I have seen in Australia. It makes the fact that there is no abottoir in Darwin even more absurd given that they all have to be trucked into Townsville ( get in line and take the price that you are given) after paying a freight bill on about 2500kms on average!
I was totally disgusted when Michael Smith was pulled off the air and having spent a few hours with him- I didn't think that would be last we hear from him. The whole card house will fold soon and go down the toilet where they belong.
Permalink Reply by Dr Caroline Wright on July 25, 2012 at 9:38pm I am singing (very badly I might add) "And so say all of us" to your first two paragraphs Rob. The four individual/groups you mentioned need to get involved now as they have the power and position and responsibility to earn the Australian's peoples respect. If nothing happens before Parliament resumes then a vote of no confidence should be taken in Parliament the very day it resumes whether it come from the Independents or the Opposition will be of no consequence as long as it happens.
Kind regards
Caroline
Jan,
Those links show that the kindling is well and truly alight and lets hope it is a bushfire for when Parliament comes back!
Permalink Reply by Bob Stewart on July 27, 2012 at 7:51am It is not disingenuous in the present political climate to advise that Bill Shorten, touted as future foreman material for the Labor Party, is the Governor General's son in law.

Permalink Reply by Stephen Cox on July 28, 2012 at 8:54am We should with politicians we think from personal experience can be trusted point out where on just grounds information they should be aware of is located but not by linking it as that may preclude them being able to acess it due to filters.
After all would it not be likely the Gillard Government as well as Contemptable and Corrupt public Servants have filtered our links to many areas they do not want highlighted or brought to the attention of fellow politicians some of whom are so busy they rely on Staff to keep them in the loop.
Think about it Alan Jones has some 60 plus staff to aid his efforts so the likelyhood these days of reaching Alan direct via email is low, wheras a well written email giving background and directions to relevant information is checked and assesed before being brought to Alans attention by his Staff.
Much the same applies to Politicians and for best results a personally Addressed letter to the Electoral Office should bypass many of the "Enemy" in Canberra deliberately Censoring the Bosses correspondence.
We know all to bloody well especially the Farming Community that many Beaurocrats are the Enemy,Way too often Politicians are deliberately mislead or cloistered from the truth by those around them.
Never forget when for instance the Prime Minister was changed by an Election often the staff remained the same,My Cousin is high up in DEFAT and people who worked under Hawke,Keating and Howard an aspect that illustrates my point about Beaurocrats and Politicians left in Droves when Rudd came to Office.
Now Staff there over such a long time under both sides of Politics have to have some certain personal political leanings,What was it that drove them away under Rudd and the exodus has continued under Gillard.
That never occured before and what was done by both Labor under Keating and Liberals under Howard was at the time Controversial yet Staff remained loyal to the Position regardless.
They changed under Rudd and Gillard and have been leaving in Droves,Why I ask.

Rob knowing how at times you wonder if the efforts are worth it and can one or a small number of people prevail and make a difference and how depressing it can all seem at times,This is a story few know about, But will give inspiration for the good we attempt to bring to the table for all.
With the topic of Thalidomide being current due to a Court decision recently I thought it appropriate to raise awarenes of a real hero to ordinary people even if She is one of our American Cousins.
Thalidomide was actually developed by the Nazi's during WW2 with experiments taking place of Imprisoned Jews in the Concerntration camps as an antidote for Nerve Gas,We should also remember those who lost their lives there as well as the Victims of Thalidomide locally and across the World,There would have been far more victims if not for this Woman.
Individuals and small groups can make a very important difference Everyone so as you can see reading this Article from the NY Times the efforts are worth it Guys and Gals.

"Rob Moore, this is the prime minister on the line - to let you know that if you permit one more negative word on your website, you will be fishing for a very long time in the Northern Territories - in concrete boots!"

Remember SAMIZDAT.
If the whole of the might of the Committee for State Security couldn't shut down free speech in the USSR, what hope have these buffoons got here?! :-)
Honest Government, Fair Rights to property and compensation, Australia and our people strong and proud, reinstatement of values and respect
