Sure as PM, Turnbull would have been able to bring in the ETS immediately.

Say that had happened. Do you think we would have had the same moves from the same people in industry against the Carbon Tax and the impending ETS?

Would there be the same antipathy towards the coalition as is now building, by the day, against the government(s) as charges, particularly electricity continue to rise.

On that last point, electricity charges. There is just my wife and I and we live in a modern, brand new, fully insulated two bedroom, two story town house. We do not have an air conditioner as they are not needed down here in Albany. Every light is one of those new fangled things. My managing director goes round turning lights, including standby lights, off.

The consequences are that I go round falling over or stubbing my toe on things. Well 'they' move them don't they? My grandchildren bought me a cap, which has LED lights in the brim! It's a great invention...when I can find it in the dark. Of course life is tough.

Sorry, get to the point. Our electricity bill for a couple of summer months when we have just cooked one meal a day for two people, was in my view, astronomical. I can't quote it to you as I can't find the bleeding thing. Use the barby we thought. Have you seen how they have hiked the price of LPG?

Now they say electricity going up another 20%. Oh, nearly forgot, Albany gets 80% of its power from wind, when it blows, which to be fair is most of the time. The coastline they built them on? Pristine.

We export gas for 20c a litre, or is that a kilo? Can't be much difference.

We have a gas grid in Albany or at least in 'old Albany'. They truck LPG 400km to keep it going.

Turnbull will never ever be PM.

I certainly hope not.

No thanks.

Juliar may have to move from her Perth home according to one of her many chief advisors, Tim Flannery,  Julia's WA home will be underwater shortly from climate change. Maybe Julia's plan to attempt to reduce 1.4% of the world's carbon emissions by 5% will save her moving next door to Kev07? How an Australian Company buying air from above a Finnish forest with the likes of someone ofTurnbull's ilk obtaining a commission will be facination to breathe.

The 'All Together Party' made a post (now deleted) on Christopher Pyne's Face Book. From ‘All Together Party’

“Just a word or two about the economy, debt and their media treatment. Notwithstanding that our economy is in quite good shape, that is to say, we have low unemployment, sound fundamentals, a low level of debt, low interest rates, low inflation and a AAA credit rating from all three ratings agencies,
why does the public have the perception that the economy is performing badly? The answer is partly the media, with its obsession for reporting bad news, but the two major factors are the relentless fear campaign from the opposition about budget deficits, and debt, and the government’s failure to sell the positive story. The fact that the government is lurching from crisis to crisis at the moment is not helping.

This makes it all the more important, in this election year, for the people to take both the opposition and the government to task. If they think the economy is so bad, ask them what, specifically they will do to fix the problems. Will they cut spending, will they emasculate the public service as John Howard did, will they defer spending on the infrastructure Australia needs to increase productivity, provide employment, promote skills acquisition and provide contracts to our beleaguered manufacturing sector? Or will they be responsible economic managers and commence those projects to help our economy grow, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase productivity growth?

One way will lead to recession, the other to increased economic growth and prosperity. Do not give carte blanch to the coalition this election. There is an alternative voice that needs to be heard. It is not extreme and is needed as a balancing force in politics. “ Signed – The All Together Party

Dear ‘All Together Party’,

The Australian Economy is not “in quiet good shape”.  Huge tracks of Australian freehold have been sold to Red China. Rudd/Gillard, Gillard/Swan have borrowed $260b from Red China with Australian Crown Land as surety and continue to borrow $110m a day. 30% of the employed are under-employed working less than 25 hours a week.

Debt personal, business and Government is enormous. Lowering interests rates is a bent rob of self funded retirees. Farmers have shocking suicide rates. Manufacturers are bleeding. Produce farmers are being swamped with human fertilised crap from China.

The Rudd/Gillard plan was always to bankrupt Australians to ensure there is no financial force to fight off the socialist plan to enjoin  Australia into AustAsianUnion on the style of the EuroUnion come 2020.

Governments don’t need to do anything to fix an economy. Governments consume wealth. Governments don’t create wealth, it is the genius of Small Business Operators and their capacity to overcome the crisis of overspending Governments that create wealth and still employ 70% of Australian employees.  Public servants don’t have jobs,  public servants have stations. Public Servants are concerned with their ‘entitlements’ not their profitability. Public Servants have security of tenure, non accountability of productivity and are incredibly susceptible  to the vote buying practices of shocking socialists like the High Priestess of Vote Buying and deception – one Juliar Gillard.

Australia is in this current shocking State because John Howard lost the 2007 Federal Election. I contest that Howard lost because he appointed Malcolm Turnbull to stealthfully foist on the Australian people an ETS. Had Turnbull entered Parliament to reward Australia for his wealth by protecting Australia from encroaching socialism instead of planning to facilitate a Carbon Tax then the Australian people would never have voted Rudd in. The Carbon Tax debate should have been the basis of the 2007 campaign with Education coming a close second. Children deserve to be able to leave school with a belief in their own individualism and self responsibility instead of applying for their first job by saying “how much to WE get paid. . Howard deserved to loss his own Seat. Australia did not deserve Rudd.  Having lost had Turnbull advocated abolishing the GST instead of accepting Rudd’s rotten ‘stimulus’  Gillard would never have won in 2010. Abolishing the GST would have been cheaper than ‘Stimulus’ , 50,000 Small Business Operators would have gone back to work and employed others. $7Bil a year  would have been spent with Australian retailers instead of on the internet OS and Australia business could compete.  Australia is still better off with the likes of Turnbull in Parliament than having Gillard as PM for another term."

You (The All Together Party) sound like a ‘Social Creditor’ to me and the best thing you can do is make sure the 500 people that joined your Party Vote Greens last and Labor second last.

And read “The Virtue of Selfishness” by Ayn Rand and “The Weather Makers Re-Examined by D. Weston Allen, published by Irenic Publications. James Darby 210213. A shall also post here my original Post on Christopher Pynes page about the Liberal Parties error of defranchising Parliamentarians. (now deleted from Pyne's Face Book page.)

.....Will they cut spending, will they emasculate the public service as John Howard did ... We could start with the hundred +++ focus group Public Servants that the PM employs who brief everyone every morning as to what to say. That is why the same phrases are repeated on TV by front benchers every day ad nauseum.

Refusing to accept a vote. The Liberal Party must come to grips with democracy. Accepting a vote from the likes of Craig Thompson or Tony Windsor is not the prerogative of a political Party. The Liberal Party practice of running a Liberal Parliamentarian out of the Chamber when Thompson passes the Chair, to vote with the Opposition, is a grave error. Sure voting with the likes of Windsor or Thompson is a painful and embarrassing experience. Everyone must except that a Politician’s vote, and the count of that vote,  must not be denied to the Electors of that Politician.   Democracy elected individual politicians and should an elected politician  vote with the Opposition on any division then there has to a degree of decency in that politician. The looming horror is the thought that the Oppo...sition may refuse to accept votes from the Greens that may quickly bring down the very worst Australian Government since Federation. The economy is slowly attempting to lift itself out of it’s steep dive into poverty based on the hopeful expectation the Gillard will be gone come Sept 14. Any plan that can bring down this deliberately destructive socialist Labor Government and force the earliest possible election must be implemented with all speed. I want to see Capitalists, not socialists,  employed to teach future taxpayers and Gillard’s ‘High Participation’ socialist imprinting of students into a  collective agenda cease. James Darby 210213

Hello James and Caroline. Cutting spending will have to happen within the goverment, there living a pipe dream at our ex pence and wanting to run it as a communistic ran country.  I see people losing jobs left right and centre now.  How can they say the economy is ok, when I see shop keepers struggling in the big giant retails shopping malls.  I see people not being able to pay people their wages now in manual self employment Jobs.

Clearly they arn't taking any notice and don't care, have their head in the sand and don't want to know, but clearly don't shop or work in our part of the world, certainly have not got their finger on the pulse thats why we are in so much debt.

Barb

Hi Barbara,

Our present government is a product of the Labor Party.

The Australian Labor Party is listed on the Socialists International website as a member.

ie. we have a Socialist government in Australia.

A quote from ex UK Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher says it straight -

"Socialists cry “Power to the people”, and raise the clenched fist as they say it. We all know what they really mean—power over people, power to the State."

The symbol for Socialists International is a clenched fist holding a rose aloft.

Cheers,

Geoff

.... and raise the clenched fist as they say it... and that is exactly what happened at the AWU meeting the other day as they sang their Union song. The present Government and the Union are synonomous with each other.

I heard the Union boss call some of the ALP pollies what they all are, Except they are not usefull
