Here is a message from Just Grounds owner, Rob Moore, and below that are the next steps...
Rob Moore 24th August 2011
The Convoy of no Confidence has been a remarkable success.
I was extremely proud to be part of the 2000 plus peaceful protest. It was an unprecedented military style logistical effort performed by 'Salt of the Earth" Australians and their many thousands of supporters along each of the 11 routes.
The commitment of the Convoy leaders and the heirarchy of the National Road Freighters Association was an inspiration. The strength of character to embark on this unknown venture showed the true courage of everyone's conviction despite the threat of failure and ridicule.
After our symbolic drive through the Parliamentry precinct we all gathered on the lawn for the official proceedings. There was a wide spectrum of speakers representing Large Industry, Small Business and Social Groups. While all political parties had an open invitation to speak, only various conservative coalition members responded. Our own Just Grounds members Senator Joyce and Williams gave memorable speeches as did Bronwen Bishop and Tony Abbott. Two outstanding young speakers were, Rashida Khan from the Northern Territory and Stuart Austin representing Australians Supporting Beef Farmers.
Due to a week of intense buildup and anticipation the Convoy had captured the imagination of the greater population. This was largely due to the wonderful support of the Talkback Radio across the country, which is the defacto peoples parliament. The leaders of this were the 2GB network - Alan Jones and Ray Hadley in Sydney, and Steve Price and Andrew Bolt in Melbourne. We sincerely thank them for their tremendous support. Alan Jones arrived from Sydney after doing his breakfast show of 3 hours and proceeded to MC for the next 5 hours without a break. I personally, will not hear a word against this man, as his commitment to results for our country is there for all to see.
The Convoy of No Confidence was labelled of no 'consequence' two hundred metres from where we were in the House of Representitives. This is an insult from a disgraceful government by a minister of no 'significance'.
It was resolved that we would not submit the 30 000 strong petition signitures on the day. Given the short timeframe and massive support all over the Australia along the way, we are going to continue gathering signatures with an aim of 1 million to be tabled by Senator Joyce in the parliament.
The community spirit that the Just Grounds members have shown was one of the bonds that made the Convoy a success. It eliminated the isolation and aided the organisers to communicate ideas into action right across Australia in a matter of weeks. Give yourselves a huge pat on the back.
We have led by example with the future template for groups to interact and mobilise with one hundred percent participation-all for no cost. This is the beginning of the electronic era for us to be able to STAND OUR GROUND.

Thanks, Rob, for adding your impressions and thoughts on "the road ahead".
What I am presenting below is my own opinion for the moment, as Cate, Rashida and the blokes from the NRFA are still on the road, making their way home.
As soon as I can get official comments from them, I will post on here.
For the moment, I'm going to try to tie together all the ideas that are being discussed in different places on Just Grounds, and then I'll ask that we PUT ALL COMMENTS relating to this topic in this discussion.
That way, things won't get lost.
Bear with me while I try to put all this together....
thanks,
Julene

OK.
Number 1. Over the next week, we continue to make contact with politicians.
This may include phone calls and visits to their offices, but the feedback we have is that emails CAN work too.
With emails, you can choose to focus on just your own MP, or politicians from a particular party; however, we are getting feedback that it may be more effective to email ALL Members and Senators.
The easiest way to do that is to use this email address in your "To" box.
mailto:mps@convoyofnoconfidence.com
Or, if you go to this link, you can send a pre-written email.
http://www.convoyofnoconfidence.com/convoy.html
However, since it is preferable to change the subject/content from time to time, the first link is probably a bit better.
The advantage of using either of these last two options is that the IT company which is assisting us can monitor how many emails are being sent, how many are being received and whether any are being blocked. And I can post updates.
Number 2. Over the next 6 weeks, we collect more signatures on the petition.
I will attach the petition for printing below.
** To all those who signed and sent the petition by email over the past few days, we would ask you to also print a page of the petition and physically sign it.***
Please also get extra signatures from family, friends, businesses and so on.
Here is the address for posting:
NRFA
PO Box 209
Deeragun QLD 4818
Number 3. Discuss other ideas, such as coordinated city-based protests.

Permalink Reply by Stephen Cox on September 3, 2011 at 4:40pm Hey guys and Gals I have made the point before, remember they operate under parliamentary priveledge and so are pretty much untouchable until they leave parliament.
However their synchophants such as Garnaut and Flannery and many Public servants who continue to push these Lies and drivel are not so protected.
The ABC and the people behind that so one sided damaging report about the live cattle industry can be sued for damages and in the case of public servants responsible and departments they are guilty of "Lack of Due Care and Professional Negligence".
They can be made to account and when we make an example of one or more of them watch the support dry up amongst the Lefties.
Remember it is all about Money and Power take their money and crush their power and see just how commited they are,I believe the commitment is just skin deep in most cases when they face losing everything they have schemed or worked for over a lifetime.

About 3 weeks ago 2GB interviewed someone from the Bureau Of Met who explained that the Govt operates 16 water level gauge stations around Oz. When I got home I logged on and found the data and in particular checked out the data from the Port Kembla guage station which showed 20 years of high, low and median levels. It was great, in fact some of the highest levels were over 15 years back. Then about 3 days later I decided to go back and print out what I was seeing - suddenly there was only the last 3 years of stats. Where did the 20 years info go? I wrote to them but no reply. I got the impression that after the radio interview they had removed the info.
So I'm wondering if you've had any luck finding the data going back 20 years....

Permalink Reply by Michael Petterson on September 3, 2011 at 6:06pm I'll try but I would like a link to the petition tony Abott sent us,if possible. What's the use of having him send us such a petition if it's buried under 35 pages of information and not really accessible to the public?

Michael,
Can't you put the link from Just Grounds home page on your Facebook site?Alternatively put the link to the NRFA home page.
After all it is their petition and it is right there on their front page - neat and tidy.
One click and everyone can get to the petiton no worries!!
I find it easy to either go to Just Grounds home page or alternatively the NRFA home page.
I like the NRFA one as it is nice and neat.

Michael Petterson said:I was meaning the petition pdf file on page 35 by Peter Heuscher, the one enclosed as a Pdf file. As far as I know I can't link files like that directly to my FB page,so I was looking for a way to link them directly to that specific post,so they could download that one,if they so desired,as I think backing Tony Abbot's motion that the carbon tax is voted on has more of a chance of working. Having both petitions wouldn't hurt.
Julene Haack said:Hi Michael,
Which petition were you meaning? The link to the Convoy petition is in the box at the very top of the Main page, so that you can provide this link www.justgroundsonline.com - and people should see the heading "The Petition is Here" immediately.
I haven't tried this but is it possible to upload a pdf copy directly to your Facebook page? People can download it directly from there?
I hesitate to get another discussion going if we can avoid it. Let me know how that goes,
regards,
Julene
Michael Petterson said:Would I be able to create a discussion, speficially for the petition that I could rebroadcast on Facebook, without any admin closing it down? 36 pages might be a bit much to newcomers to the site to go through, looking for the petition link, and we actually want them to sign it.
Permalink Reply by Ian Davies on September 3, 2011 at 6:19pm Hi Beverley, I was thinking similiar thoughts. Let Julia do the dirty deed (could be very soon) take the heat, scorn from the non conformist electorate & then dump her in the leed up. It all stinks!
Why is spanky spanky (K.R nickname for him) Feel ill! comming back to Aus in a few days? When is Parliment back? I hope it's not for what I am thinking!

could be worth up to US$150 billion by 2012.”Please read the article and don’t wonder anymore ....
With an investment of just $ 100.000 (with Rothschild) you’re in business to rip off Austalia !

Cheers.
