For Like minded people who like to see-
Here is a message from Just Grounds owner, Rob Moore, and below that are the next steps...
Rob Moore 24th August 2011
The Convoy of no Confidence has been a remarkable success.
I was extremely proud to be part of the 2000 plus peaceful protest. It was an unprecedented military style logistical effort performed by 'Salt of the Earth" Australians and their many thousands of supporters along each of the 11 routes.
The commitment of the Convoy leaders and the heirarchy of the National Road Freighters Association was an inspiration. The strength of character to embark on this unknown venture showed the true courage of everyone's conviction despite the threat of failure and ridicule.
After our symbolic drive through the Parliamentry precinct we all gathered on the lawn for the official proceedings. There was a wide spectrum of speakers representing Large Industry, Small Business and Social Groups. While all political parties had an open invitation to speak, only various conservative coalition members responded. Our own Just Grounds members Senator Joyce and Williams gave memorable speeches as did Bronwen Bishop and Tony Abbott. Two outstanding young speakers were, Rashida Khan from the Northern Territory and Stuart Austin representing Australians Supporting Beef Farmers.
Due to a week of intense buildup and anticipation the Convoy had captured the imagination of the greater population. This was largely due to the wonderful support of the Talkback Radio across the country, which is the defacto peoples parliament. The leaders of this were the 2GB network - Alan Jones and Ray Hadley in Sydney, and Steve Price and Andrew Bolt in Melbourne. We sincerely thank them for their tremendous support. Alan Jones arrived from Sydney after doing his breakfast show of 3 hours and proceeded to MC for the next 5 hours without a break. I personally, will not hear a word against this man, as his commitment to results for our country is there for all to see.
The Convoy of No Confidence was labelled of no 'consequence' two hundred metres from where we were in the House of Representitives. This is an insult from a disgraceful government by a minister of no 'significance'.
It was resolved that we would not submit the 30 000 strong petition signitures on the day. Given the short timeframe and massive support all over the Australia along the way, we are going to continue gathering signatures with an aim of 1 million to be tabled by Senator Joyce in the parliament.
The community spirit that the Just Grounds members have shown was one of the bonds that made the Convoy a success. It eliminated the isolation and aided the organisers to communicate ideas into action right across Australia in a matter of weeks. Give yourselves a huge pat on the back.
We have led by example with the future template for groups to interact and mobilise with one hundred percent participation-all for no cost. This is the beginning of the electronic era for us to be able to STAND OUR GROUND.

Thanks, Rob, for adding your impressions and thoughts on "the road ahead".
What I am presenting below is my own opinion for the moment, as Cate, Rashida and the blokes from the NRFA are still on the road, making their way home.
As soon as I can get official comments from them, I will post on here.
For the moment, I'm going to try to tie together all the ideas that are being discussed in different places on Just Grounds, and then I'll ask that we PUT ALL COMMENTS relating to this topic in this discussion.
That way, things won't get lost.
Bear with me while I try to put all this together....
thanks,
Julene

OK.
Number 1. Over the next week, we continue to make contact with politicians.
This may include phone calls and visits to their offices, but the feedback we have is that emails CAN work too.
With emails, you can choose to focus on just your own MP, or politicians from a particular party; however, we are getting feedback that it may be more effective to email ALL Members and Senators.
The easiest way to do that is to use this email address in your "To" box.
mailto:mps@convoyofnoconfidence.com
Or, if you go to this link, you can send a pre-written email.
http://www.convoyofnoconfidence.com/convoy.html
However, since it is preferable to change the subject/content from time to time, the first link is probably a bit better.
The advantage of using either of these last two options is that the IT company which is assisting us can monitor how many emails are being sent, how many are being received and whether any are being blocked. And I can post updates.
Number 2. Over the next 6 weeks, we collect more signatures on the petition.
I will attach the petition for printing below.
** To all those who signed and sent the petition by email over the past few days, we would ask you to also print a page of the petition and physically sign it.***
Please also get extra signatures from family, friends, businesses and so on.
Here is the address for posting:
NRFA
PO Box 209
Deeragun QLD 4818
Number 3. Discuss other ideas, such as coordinated city-based protests.

“They are not all criminals my friend.”
All federal politicians in both houses are criminals.
All politicians in NSW Parliament in both houses are criminals.

This site will not accept comments that all politicians are criminals. Peter, please do not post this type of comment on the main forum
Permalink Reply by Ken Martin on August 25, 2011 at 2:53am Sorry Peter, but I did listen to the first part of that clip and cannot follow his reasoning. Section 92 of the Constitution refers to interstate trade, and the financial freedom of that trade. It has nothing to do with personal freedom, like most of the Constitution. Personal freedom appears to be sadly lacking in that document!
Until now, I have been a Monarchist. Having read the Constitution, I really do feel the need for change!!

Paul Starr said:Ken, I wonder if it would be worthwhile talking to a Constitutional Lawyer who is willing to give support - I met one a few years ago who is or was a client of my accountant and he was very glad to discus things as these guys are the gate keepers and they know and see all. He ended up doing a mini seminar for us all about income tax. They can't just emerge - they have to be approached.
Ken Martin said:Hi Guys! Can anyone point me to a reference in the Constitution to support the WILL argument? Jumping back from the Think Tank for help 'cause I can't find one! If anyone can provide one, it would help a LOT!!

Permalink Reply by Ken Martin on August 25, 2011 at 3:12am Peter, I, probably like most here, have been ignoring your posts because they are off topic. I haven't read very much of them at all, but I can probably tell you what they are about. Let's see! You're wife took off interstate with your kids. You went to court to get her to bring them back, at least to the same state. One oppinionated Judge denied your obvious rights to have contact with your children. In the mean time, the CSA was hounding you to pay some extortionate amount of child support while you were trying to cope with the sudden influx of debts that had been accumulated in your name that you knew nothing about, including forged signatures on withdrawal slips for your accounts. Then the Pretend division of assets that went with the divorce. Weighted in favour of the Custodial parent, when you were given no option about who had Custody.
Do I need to go on?
That story is from personal experience, not made up! I haven't seen my kids in Ten years! Your method of making a difference will not work while we have corrupt politicians in power!
Stop trying to disrupt this true effort and actually join us. Then we might all be able to make a difference!!

Feel free to contribute more on the think tank blog - all the brain storming is always good and hopefully we can come up with a plan to get rid of the g'ment - legally.....

More than happy to do that Julene.
As you may have noticed the first two ideas are basical sound. I feel I need to chase the origins of the 'will' letter though.
Ill be back.... ha

Hi Anna,
I've had a look - I think that's ok. Once you have nutted some ideas out, you could come back here to report. That would be great!
thanks,
Julene
PS. I'm off now - have to make lunches for school tomorrow, etc etc, and try for an early night, so Good Night!
Anna 'Goanna' Hetherington-Grego said:Julene the blog I commenced "think Tank" was approved before I knew about this site.
As the think tank is basically only about the LEGAL ASPECTS AND AVENUES that may be a possibility after careful consideration - here is not probably the most appropriate place to think and hash things out-loud.
IF a few of us can throw around some legal ideas and finally come up with a few legal avenues or strategies then it would be natural to involve ALL OTHERS of what he think may be a suitable avenue.
Most of the legal banter I assume would be a bore to most people but some may find it interesting.
I assume that it must have been Dale that approved the Blog and that is acceptable for me. If you dont mind I would like to keep the legal thinking confined to that site. If you have any issues with that please please just let me know. Ta Goanna.
Tony,
We are still in Dubbo but last night I did a member broadcast email (Road ahead).
It appeared to go on this laptop but have no way of knowing. If you did get it- could you forward it to Jones and Hadley since you have the emails. The 2ue and 4BC network(Fairfax) and Laws (2sm group)- probably deserve a similar thankyou email,
Man -we need a publicity officer. I have got to get home and do some work to pay off the mastercard at the month.
PS All the local radio in Canberra was up in arms at Joe Hockey for saying that they will cut 30000 public service jobs when they get in. People ringing jumping up and down -they can't do that -what about the economy ,families etc- talking about striking and protesting.
The morning before on the same station -we were hearing that we should be run out of town for causing a nuisance and costing the taxpayers money for the Federal Police and buses etc.
Seems it is OK to shut the likes of Rashida and northern Aust industry down overnight but they don't like the same medicine themselves.

I will leave this post up and please consider it to be the 'last post' on this matter in this place.
If you wish to continue the debate then continue in another forum.
If there is any dissent it will be deleted together with this post.

Permalink Reply by Michael Petterson on August 25, 2011 at 10:28am If only we could find two Labor MP to cross but that my be hard to do. Barnaby Joyce has been pushing some to cross, he homes in on the ones in the screwed on Labor seats that look shaky.
Joel Fitzgibbon is one and I have already emailed him with a plea to cross the floor but he didn't reply and I am not that far away from his electorate. He is the sitting member for Hunter right in the heart of mining territory. They miners are not happy in the Hunter let me tell you.
I also emailed Sharon Greirson, Federal Member for Newcastle, and received a standard carbon tax propaganda reply.. the one telling you how good it will be and how much better off we will all be when we get a couple of hundred bucks. It really is laugable.
But I will do it again, why not...Greirson has been sitting on her hands in this electorate for years doing???
Of note in the NSW State election, the sitting Labor Member Jodie MacKay lost the seat and for the first time in history Newcastle became a Liberal held seat with Tim Owen narrowly sliding in. So, I would think that Greirson is sitting on a very sticky wicket indeed.
james darby said:Thankyou Julene Haack for Post-Convoy Plan site. I will post later about my plans to Stop The Tax. The actuality that Gillard will not listen to the people has come home. All that will save Australia now is finding two Labor MP's who will cross the floor. I welcome any suggestions as to which two ALP Pollies are the most vunerable with regard to wanting to keep their Seat in Parliament.
The narcissist, and big spender of unionists fees, Craig Thompson, looks like achieving the election outcome, sought by the 'Just Grounds' movement and Convoy, all on his own.
It is time to start putting pressure on the political parties and prospective candidates to reveal their future intentions re carbon taxes, live animal exports, budget surplusses, unwinnable wars, same sex marriage and other issues.
An essential part of the forthcoming election will be to rally against the socialist reformists, their green supporters and particularly the turncoat Independents Windsor & Oakshott. While making sure the conservatives truly understand and support the people's message.
Here is another poll. It is up on polls and petitions but I will add it here too.Need to improve the no vote. Hit it hard everyone.
Honest Government, Fair Rights to property and compensation, Australia and our people strong and proud, reinstatement of values and respect
