For Like minded people who like to see-
Recently I wrote about out how the principles of “ecologically sustainable development” have spread like a cancer, working their way into state law and local government following the 1992 Intergovernmental Agreement on the Environment.
While that is bad enough, an even worse development has taken place, one that will have repercussions for decades to come.
As detailed in the documents linked below, students in NSW are to be taught ecologically sustainable development through “an across-curriculum strategy integrated into teaching and learning programs from Kindergarten to Year 12”, and by “integrating environmental education into other subjects, such as English, Mathematics and the Creative Arts.”
This really is outrageous. Not content with exposing students to these ideas as an isolated subject, those driving this collectivist agenda want it to infest and infiltrate every part of the school curriculum. Goebbels would be so proud.
As anyone who has properly researched this understands, “ecologically sustainable development” cannot be translated into action without breaching the sanctity of property. Yet nowhere in the curriculum policy documents is there any mention of the importance of private ownership. It is the most one-sided, unbalanced and biased program of indoctrination imaginable: the ideology of socialism and communism, disguised by calling it something different, and intended to influence the teaching of every subject from kindergarten to year 12!
It’s hard enough now to get judges, lawyers, and government bureaucrats to understand the vital importance of private ownership. What will it be like in the future, as those indoctrinated with this insidious nonsense take their places?
I’m reminded of Garet Garrett’s warning, “The Revolution Was”, written around about the time of the Great Depression. The meaning of the title becomes apparent in the opening lines of the first chapter:
“There are those who still think they are holding the pass against a revolution that may be coming up the road. But they are gazing in the wrong direction. The revolution is behind them. It went by in the Night of Depression, singing songs to freedom.”
Chilling.
