For Like minded people who like to see-
Well, We Ain't Seen Nuthin' Yet
It now makes sense for every new home design submitted for building approval to have solar arrays part of that approval on the roof or stand alone for both electric energy and/or hot water where space and orientation allows.
The banks are struggling to find a secure market for their huge profits. Reward loyalty. Why not underwrite the cost of a solar energy installation for their long time existing mortgage holders to convert to solar as a separate charge upon the security at half the primary interest rate for 10 years?
A 3 year pay back is possible with no power bills for your customer, ever again.
But there is another dimension.....Energy Bonds
There is no vision evident in this Labor Government except talking to themselves in the mirror. It is long long, overdue that domestic solar for hot water and energy should be a mandatory inclusion in the National Building Code.
Rooftop, or ground level sites if space and orientation allows. The cost of new and refits covered by Energy Bonds underwritten by a Government Guarantee should be order of the day and the dark days that follow the carbon tax.

There are several topics where I could place this but Bob's topic won because of the specific emphasis on electricity.
