Put Me in Charge of Foreign Aid

One can hope that the light shone on the foreign aid Australia also illuminates the billions, too much of which ends up in Swiss banks. Hilary Clinton blocked $5B in aid to Kabul;

After 22 years working in the Middle East and Asia, we are regarded as a joke,the little boy with a big mouth and too much pocket money. It is long overdue to change Aid policy to fund volunteer teams with skills and experience appropriate for the task, along with the food and medical aid, and from my own experience on the border between Libya and Chad, a battalion of troops to deliver it to the cooking pots if necessary.

Mogadishu is an example where huge quantities of corn and cooking oil gifted, yes gifted from the US in response to photographs of dying children unloaded on the dock. We will still be doing this again and again for the next 100 years without a change at the top. All smiles, at banquets backslapping and handshakes in front of the camera with the UNHCR?

While the armed warlords intent on increasing their local influence are quietly putting it away in their own warehouses...for later.

It's on hold gathering the facts first while patching a hole in my sporaditosis. But it is quite invigorating to just be free to make the offer. If Sarah Hanson-Young regards it as a threat, then it has served its purpose.

If patching the hole does not work try darning with the correct colour wool. I was excellent at darning as a young girl and my mother put me in charge of darning the boys' socks...big family, little money, lots of holes in socks and lots of darning. An expert I was!!

Darn it! Caroline. It is 4.30 am. You sidetracked my thoughts of that barbaric and cruel killing of an Afghani girl by the Taliban. I imagine it has gone viral around the world by now. Put Me in Charge. I would very quickly kick out the morally corrupt UNHCR for telling us what to do but unable to handle the Syria or the Horn of Africa problem except talk from a distance while the millions in foreign aid pay for their own grand existence.

I would be very interested to hear what Christine Milne and her little weeping sidekick Sarah Hanson-Young, both Custodians of the Nation, had to say. " The poor Dear"?, indeed.

What are you doing up at 4.30am? Do we have a bit of a Prostate Problem? It was indeed a terrible injustice about that poor young woman and all human rights activists should be up in arms about this. The male involved, however, would get off scott-free as it would have been the woman's fault.

Very clever use of "Darn it, Caroline" as it gave me my morning chuckle.

Watch it! If you just have to know, my 9 year old Golden Lab will find a spot under the blankets to sweep around with her cold wet nose between 4 and 5 am. As for my nether regions, they are coming along nicely. But as you will notice, I am too much of a gentleman to ask any lady, without distinction, why up so early? or indeed, to explain why I quit the Cosudex.

....and who is We?
