For Like minded people who like to see-
The Media and beat up reporting.
I thought I might resurrect this discussion once again. If anyone wants to comment on some outright fallacious ideas by people who should know better, published in the press or given air time on TV, have your say here.

don't know what's going on outside of America nor where geographically.
They probably know the Olympic games are on but if you asked many where London is geographically they wouldn't know and many wouldn't know London is in Great Britian. Americans don't read a lot of newspapers as compared to here and what they read is rubbish. Hopefully the digital age might wake them up?
I don't think they are taught world geography to any great extent in school and they are certainly not taught much history of the old world.
AND their political leaders like it like that.

You're right about the chaser sketch Martin....scary that this is our greatest ally...if the Yanks cared about us they would box Kevin's ears and send him home!! He's just a naughty boy.
Martin Essenberg said:I understand that only 25% of Americans can find AMERICA on a map of the world.
I think the Chaser or some other comedians did a program where they had a map of the world with the labels replaced. So Australia became North Korea and Tasmania became South Korea. One US couple was surprised how big North Korea (Australia) was.
If this is true then not only can Kevin masquerade as Australian PM in the USA he could, if he had a bit of make-up and spoke Chinese, be the Chinese Premier too.
At least while in the US Rudd- unlike Malcolm Fraser- appears to have kept his pants on
Permalink Reply by Rae Billett on September 25, 2012 at 5:20pm I watched Q&A this week and I really enjoyed it. One of the good ones. Jason Silva the 'futurist' had me sitting there with my jaw hanging open.
Only the Americans could come up with a title like that 'futurist' but it was apt. There was a Tweet that said he was a 'futurist on steroids'...could he talk!!! and quote science documentations, none of his own.
Seems people will not be humans as we know it in the future and will never die...I had to laugh when Tony Jones asked him where all the people would fit, generation on generation and how they would be fed and watered......This guy said people (if that's what they will be) would not be eating food as we know it, it will be the stuff they are working on to produce in test tubes and grow. No more killing cattle or any of that cruel stuff. I have no idea what will happen to all the animals but anyway....
Honestly if you haven't watched it go to ABC Iview because he was a crack up. I recorded it and will watch it again. In his defence I really loved his forwarding thinking and love of things to come. We need young people like that but not quite so passionate, he sort of went over the top.
There was a girl in the audience who asked him a question and had a bit of a debate with him for a while. Tony Jones was so impressed with her retaliations he said they should get her on the show some time. She was good.
Permalink Reply by Rae Billett on September 27, 2012 at 11:50am Why give this man Peter Mair airtime and paper space? Media beat up at it's best...
This man is barking mad... he once worked for the Reserve Bank they say.. Irish nitwit, he cannot be serious! No wonder pensioners get beaten in their homes if people think they have money hidden somewhere. Some might but most don't. Uhhmm what about the drug dealers?
He wants the Reserve bank to take $100 and $50 notes out of circulation.

But of course, in reality, wouldn't governments love a cashless society where you could only pay by a card transaction? This is where we are heading, cutting out the black money market.
Honest Government, Fair Rights to property and compensation, Australia and our people strong and proud, reinstatement of values and respect
