OFFICIAL Media Release: Consumers and Taxpayers Association:
Subject: The 7 LABOR DISASTERS RALLY: CANBERRA: 22ND August at noon
For immediate release:
The Consumers and Taxpayers Association (C.A.T.A) will be holding a rally at Parliament House on the 22nd August 2012 titled “The 7 LABOR DISASTERS RALLY”
C.A.T.A has become a household name over the past 18 months since a group of likeminded members of our community came together when they heard about the then incoming carbon tax.
C.A.T.A spokesperson, Anita Donlon said the grass roots movement was growing purely because an opportunity was being provided to everyday Australians to come together, be educated and show people power to a government who is clearly not listening to its constituents.
“We are A political, receive no funding and rely on the support of our wonderful supporters and volunteers to get the word out to the communities. The 7 Labor Disasters rally is no different, with a growing army of volunteers already on social media letting everyone know about this rally” said Anita.
Anita added “Labor is disengaged and oblivious to what is going on in our communities around this country. Their refusal to engage with stakeholders to deliver a positive outcome has resulted in our country going backwards. The polls are showing that an election is needed to oust the worst government in history before our country is affected even more. Water, Land, Fisheries, Carbon Tax, Small Business, Border Security and Live cattle are the 7 disasters to be addressed at the rally with industry representatives present to address the audience”
“Australia’s largest employers: the small business sector will be amongst the hardest hit by the carbon tax. C.A.T.A is supporting the I Support Small Business Campaign across Australia. We encourage everyone to contact their local media to express their views. After all, we live in a democracy where even our freedom of speech is under threat”

Fond regards

Caroline

Cate you did an excellent job at reporting the whole thing ,you will get another chance to speak another time as their will be another time.  This goverment won't take the hint. Anita did an terrific job with everything.

My phill enjoyed the whole scene. I had him snug up sitting in his comphy chair coffee in hand just listening intently, He so enjoyed sitting in the sun and hearing all the different speakers, every topic was covered, everyone spoke amazingly. We felt very proud just being there as we did put in much to get there in time. After we had got back to our cabin, Jets came flying over really loudly. Was that julia's answer to us in having her own way again.
But sadly our trip is coming to an end. Have the car nearly packed and one more day of driving, and well see what shape our house is in after the kids have been looking after it for a month of being away, will have plenty of work to do no doubt, you always seem to pay for a great time when you get back home. See you later, don't know how much later as I can see a really busy time of cleaning coming up. We've had a marvelious time.
Thanks to all for helping us along the way especialy Cate and Bev.

p s dosn't matter if it doesn't make it to the news, thats what they want to have happen. We know in our hearts how great it was, and so used to this goverment now, we knew we were't going to get a standing ovation, but its important to keep this fight going and never surrender as Noal would have said.

Next one will be even bigger in numbers as by then everyone will be screaming out we haven't any money, no jobs. no prospecks everything will have been taken away from us, hopfuly it will make people more madder to attend.

Thats ok viv, I do understand really, i just had hope if I spoke out loud enough, it might have encourage some more to come along, you have a good track record in attending, and not all the time can we do it, and appointments need to be kept, and business need to be kept going. Money well unfortunaltly we do need to have enough to do it as well. But there will be another time, as this dam goverment won't take the hint.

Reading through some discussions here, whether it be over lossing land, or all around unhappy with this goverment and carbon tax thats going to drain us as well as the U N and agenda 21 owning us, if tomorrow turns out to be a small gathering, and there is more aboridginals at their protest thats being held at the same time.  I will be so disappointed in this forum with all the different discussions about this goverment, and 10 show up to Canberra.  We have be given a big chance here to all stand up together tomorrow, to show this goverment we are all fed up.  But if only 10 show up, no good just sitting on here and typing how you feel, sometimes you have to show how upset you are and do to get your point across, and not let the same old 20 few get in and really do it.  yes I'm being cheeky here but fuming mad if only 10 show up.

one more thing cate. Was'nt that outstanding that the aboringnals got along really well with us rally guys and joined in, makes them look very caring people and wanted to help make a difference about whats happening to our land of all of ours together we stood side by side, that was pretty amazing stuff.  Never have I've seen that before. Now that is somthing worth reporting about indeed.

A phone call from Gillard can put the fear of God up the ceo of the Australian and have the truth pulled and stifled so we must be realistic at what the best interview in the world's chances are there.

My heart bleeds for the wonderful people that have the guts to show up- it is always freezing ,disjointed and demoralising-I have been to three fighting the Carbon scam and the socialists and it is a minimum of $1-2000 each time  so way beyond the average "working " family. Also many run the risk of loosing their jobs if they show their true feelings.

Jaques and Anita have had 10000 at earlier rallies and the numbers are ignored so it is a war of attrician. I heard Alan Jones and Graham Richardson  agreeing that Gillard is the worst ever (Today Show) yesterday and Richo reckons that they are all s*** scared and know that they are toast anyway.

WHY then do we have to go another year down the toilet? Well done -all of you.

Change can come from the power of many, but only when the many come together to form that which is invincible .. the power of one. From The Power of One by Bryce Courtney at the end of the Movie before the credits.

Hi Barb, yes, most certainly great "stuff"!

A few years ago i heard an Aboriginal woman performing a "welcome to country" opening statement.

Part of what she said, has stayed with me, I doubt that I will ever forget it.

She said,

"The Aboriginal people are of the land. Farmers are of the land. It is always the people of the land whom are displaced first. When this happens, our country is no longer ours. The Aboriginal people, will stand beside the farmers. Together, we will turn back the tide of injustices. When all people realize that laws are destroying our land, only then will justice be returned."

To my way of thinking, these words are so powerful - they are so true. Aboriginal peoples, Farmers and Graziers need to unite - for without the people of the land standing up, standing together for the very fabric of what Australia was, before settlement, after settlement in regard to caring for the land, and being able to "feed and clothe" people - then Australia has lost its identity forever more - along with those who know how to care for country. And that, that knowledge lost forever, will, and is bringing Australia to its knees now...

Aboriginal people are a minority. White Australians are a minority. But together we are a majority, and this means a force to be reckoned with.

Now, all we need is a leader to unite us...the Aboriginal people are showing us the way...but who is listening?

I am as a generational person on the land..but are others?

If we do not listen, and take action, then there will be generations of white farmers, who will join the Aboriginal people who have been displaced.

The sad reality is, there already are displaced generational farmers now..and our "numbers" of being displaced are growing daily.

Jan,

I've just come in and heard about todays apology - very strange. I was refering to the earlier threat to Hardigan (ceo) when Glenn Milne's story was pulled!

The now published transcripts prove that she has been lying so I don't see any need to apoligise UNLESS she has something- inside knowlege of indescretions for example, which she can use over the paper bosses.

The only thing incorrect is the wording "Trust Fund"- wasn't it some long winded Association which she has admitted was simply a slush fund for somebody......?

Could it just be on the e/news and it might get printed tomorrow.

It looks like a 'red herring" to me as to call the account a trust acc when it was a  Workplace reform or some such b******* ASSOCIATION...... does make it incorrect and technically  they may need to apoligise but it doesn't have a scrap of difference to the need for an explanation.

No wonder productivity is way down in this "Contry", that’s another hour of our time wasted on dribble & lies IMO.

The Affidavit of Ian Walter Cambridge 19/09/1996.   So which of the many accounts from 1991-1996 was this whole charade today manipulated around ?

Wonder why nobody has inferred the very likely prospect that what actually took place to bring the funds into this dodgy illegitimate  invention of Gillards Squeeze was more than likely what is known as a protection racket.

After all around the world Organised crime and Unions such as the Teamsters in the US and the Painters and Dockers in Victoria and others across Australia and elsewhere have often been involved in racketeering and protection thuggery why not in this case.

Would then the Future PM potentially be involved in Criminal Activity as an accessory after the fact the real thing that both scares and motivates those tied into criminal actions is if someone decides to hold a Royal Commission into such activities. There are no limitations on Crimes such as those timewise only bluff by those who wish it to be forgotten.

When someone who has a record of less than stellar believability holds a press conference at short notice it is specifically to allow them to drive the general direction of the  media scrummage.
