OFFICIAL Media Release: Consumers and Taxpayers Association:
Subject: The 7 LABOR DISASTERS RALLY: CANBERRA: 22ND August at noon
For immediate release:
The Consumers and Taxpayers Association (C.A.T.A) will be holding a rally at Parliament House on the 22nd August 2012 titled “The 7 LABOR DISASTERS RALLY”
C.A.T.A has become a household name over the past 18 months since a group of likeminded members of our community came together when they heard about the then incoming carbon tax.
C.A.T.A spokesperson, Anita Donlon said the grass roots movement was growing purely because an opportunity was being provided to everyday Australians to come together, be educated and show people power to a government who is clearly not listening to its constituents.
“We are A political, receive no funding and rely on the support of our wonderful supporters and volunteers to get the word out to the communities. The 7 Labor Disasters rally is no different, with a growing army of volunteers already on social media letting everyone know about this rally” said Anita.
Anita added “Labor is disengaged and oblivious to what is going on in our communities around this country. Their refusal to engage with stakeholders to deliver a positive outcome has resulted in our country going backwards. The polls are showing that an election is needed to oust the worst government in history before our country is affected even more. Water, Land, Fisheries, Carbon Tax, Small Business, Border Security and Live cattle are the 7 disasters to be addressed at the rally with industry representatives present to address the audience”
“Australia’s largest employers: the small business sector will be amongst the hardest hit by the carbon tax. C.A.T.A is supporting the I Support Small Business Campaign across Australia. We encourage everyone to contact their local media to express their views. After all, we live in a democracy where even our freedom of speech is under threat”

Would you show us how the painting turned out Barbara before you go on your trip? I would love to see the finished work.

Kind regards

Caroline

Anita somehow I think the Title should be the Seven Greatest Labor Disasters to Date as more are no doubt yet to materialise and many more smaller ones have occurred that were not so minor to the smaller groups affected that only those intimately involved know about.

We will be there Anita, have been traverling like a bat out of hell to make it, can honestly and proud to say we will be there.  Have book in for canberra tomorrow night, and 2 more nights along, I think we need a forth night really to get over the day.

Barb and Phill.

Hi ANITA. can't seem to see anything in the press or whiles about this still being on, Phil is on a different forum to myself and no menchion of it anywhere, so we are concern Is it still on, as we are down in canberra now. I know julia might be booted out as early as tomorrow, but the labor goverment will still be in doing just as much damage to this country. But we need to know for sure if its still being held on the 22nd of august.

My theorey is Part time Uni students do these surveys to earn some pocket money and being Lazy bastards who are still in the School system as they are allergic to Work much like Maynard G Krebs of Dobie Gillis Fame  the Sixties Sitcom you may remember.

Then when you do all your Survey within the Uni Grounds that is the result you get one from the Left side of Politics and young and foolish gullible ones at that that is the only explanation for Labor being above a more real 20% approval,I flatly refuse to believe Australians can be that Stupid.

Don't get too upset Beverley as they have yet to get the next quarterly electricity bill and notice the increase in prices at the supermarket etc. Then we will see a change.

What a joke!!!  Where do they do these polls???

The polls show that the Labor party is gaining approval since the carbon tax has been introduced!!!!!!

I do not know what that proves - but strange polling.  They must be all the greens who were canvassed.

You have hit the Nail on the Head Caroline,Ray Hadley was covering just that aspect today when he got permission from a Hotellier to illustrate the impact of Milnes CO2 Tax.

Covering four Hotels and one with separate Electricity supply for the Bottle Shop the Bills were Horendous.

The Three Swallows Hotel on the Hume Highway at Bankstown for instance had a monthly Electrical Bill of 14 thousand and across the four Hotels the increase directly noted on the Bills as Carbon Tax varied between 12 and 14 percent.

So much for the rubbish spewing out of the mouths of Labor politicians about an increase of only .7% for which people will be generously compensated,Come Septemebr I predict the cost will be really biting home and Labor will if honestly polled be well below 20% approval,Gillard will be about the same as obviously there are Fools in Australia.

Just how many more Businesses and Jobs have to be thrown under the Bus before we get rid of these bastards,And a statistic only hinted at quietly in the Bush and not at all in the Cities how many Suicides,Gillard and Co already have too much blood on their hands with the Pink Batts Fiasco and Open Borders Policies.

Reading through some discussions here, whether it be over lossing land, or all around unhappy with this goverment and carbon tax thats going to drain us as well as the U N and agenda 21 owning us, if tomorrow turns out to be a small gathering, and there is more aboridginals at their protest thats being held at the same time.  I will be so disappointed in this forum with all the different discussions about this goverment, and 10 show up to Canberra.  We have be given a big chance here to all stand up together tomorrow, to show this goverment we are all fed up.  But if only 10 show up, no good just sitting on here and typing how you feel, sometimes you have to show how upset you are and do to get your point across, and not let the same old 20 few get in and really do it.  yes I'm being cheeky here but fuming mad if only 10 show up.
