OFFICIAL Media Release: Consumers and Taxpayers Association:
Subject: The 7 LABOR DISASTERS RALLY: CANBERRA: 22ND August at noon
For immediate release:
The Consumers and Taxpayers Association (C.A.T.A) will be holding a rally at Parliament House on the 22nd August 2012 titled “The 7 LABOR DISASTERS RALLY”
C.A.T.A has become a household name over the past 18 months since a group of likeminded members of our community came together when they heard about the then incoming carbon tax.
C.A.T.A spokesperson, Anita Donlon said the grass roots movement was growing purely because an opportunity was being provided to everyday Australians to come together, be educated and show people power to a government who is clearly not listening to its constituents.
“We are A political, receive no funding and rely on the support of our wonderful supporters and volunteers to get the word out to the communities. The 7 Labor Disasters rally is no different, with a growing army of volunteers already on social media letting everyone know about this rally” said Anita.
Anita added “Labor is disengaged and oblivious to what is going on in our communities around this country. Their refusal to engage with stakeholders to deliver a positive outcome has resulted in our country going backwards. The polls are showing that an election is needed to oust the worst government in history before our country is affected even more. Water, Land, Fisheries, Carbon Tax, Small Business, Border Security and Live cattle are the 7 disasters to be addressed at the rally with industry representatives present to address the audience”
“Australia’s largest employers: the small business sector will be amongst the hardest hit by the carbon tax. C.A.T.A is supporting the I Support Small Business Campaign across Australia. We encourage everyone to contact their local media to express their views. After all, we live in a democracy where even our freedom of speech is under threat”

Permalink Reply by Barbara lee on July 7, 2012 at 3:47am Great to see you back Anita, we'll be there. This is another great Opportunity to stand up once more, even though they will give us bad press and make us look like wimps, but we have to have another go at this, as its just ridiculous and so much worse the situation is than before, and even giving themselves another pay rise, and trying to justify it to everyone, when it should have been a pay cut, and paying us all back of all the injustices they’ve bestowed upon us and not even letting us have freedom of press, all the cover ups manipulative ways to hide the truth from us all, just so they can stay in power. I'm just sick of this and its very un-Australian. It’s just horrible what they've done to this country. I mean to say just look around not one thing is right, communism, being under the U N. Whats happen to our Australia, Boat folk, staying in the best of motels, coming here in droves, our lands being sold and taken from us, coal seam gas, windmills and solar, won't be enough power, and carbon tax that’s just the biggest travesty to all of us, and its only going to cost $10 a week more, What a lot of hog wash.
We have to stand up again and do this for our kids and grand-kids for their future once more. But even has to be stronger than before. Even Noel Porter wanted everyone just to stand up again once more, as he was differently was fed up, I remember from one of his previous discussions not so long ago saying, "We have to just stand up all together" I think that's when he work out the carbon tax he was going to slug with.
Good on you Anita you've obviously have been working hard behind the scenes again. Count phil and I, at least you've got 2.
Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi.

I can't believe this Anita. So disappointed with all the grumblings about what’s going wrong in Australia and all the different discussion that’s been said about this government on this Forum, " Only I". No matter Anita my hubbie who will have to carry equipment for his breathing and hospital letters to the doctors just in case we get into trouble, we will be driving up as we need to take our car to carry our stuff. We had a ball at the last one, and hubbie was even sicker then, that’s how much we loved and cared about Australian and the way of life we enjoy, but sadly disappearing fast now.
Is Angry Anderson going to be there again? He was wonderful and what a great guy he is, he had brought us altogether as we sang shoulder to shoulder we will stand until the very last man. It was awesome, and the black coffin sitting there, we all felt so mad and he gave us the empowerment of feeling we were making a difference. In our hearts we were, no matter the press and down tones, it showed them up for what this government does, hiding the truth that many Aussies are just fed up.
Well worth every K’s traveled no matter the bad press or what should have happen and didn't.
Well Anita I'm a big muma, and can make up for a couple of people there I will carry 10 mega phones to make up for some who could have come but decide to sit back in arm chair, very disappoint in folk on just grounds. Here is a really wonderful chance to really get in and voice our concerns once again. I've still got my old banners saying the same thing. No I didn't write any discreamitive words, just plain words what 's wrong.
I would like to think the Australian fighting spirit is still alive, so sick of this nonsense of all the covering ups with lies. We are 1000’s fold so much worth more than this, and yet being treated like puppets.
Religion groups trying to change our ways in taken our wonderful father Christmas and Easter bunny away, all our old fashioned values are being depleted taken away from us. we live here, they should be taken on our ways.
Boat people with no papers or only after 14days then allowed to mingle and sleep in our homes and clearly been given the world at their fingertips, much better than the pensioners are getting treated or our homeless, No wonder their coming here in droves.
Sick of all the restrictions with a thousand and one rules that’s been set in place upon us, when clearly the government is allowed to just do and say and lie to get what they want, I'm sick of being in so much debt to another country because of their give aways, absolutely wastful spending.
Pay rise, thats just shocking, should be getting a pay cut and been made to pay back for all their blunders.
Money wasting it on these conventions Rio U N crap that we didn't get a say in, and shouldn’t be in. It seems we can’t even own land, or they get to know everything we say, smart meters, What sort of rasheme are we really heading for and we have allowed this government to get away with, by not standing up to them.
Our country's been allowed to be taken over slowly so we wouldn’t notice. UN is moving in fast now coming out of the closet so to speak, who are they really, wanting world domination we as puppets handing over our good hard money, finishing up owning all our lands. Leaving us powerless as individuals. Is this what you really want to have happen.
No freedom of press, Julia only has to pull a few strings whala, its gone left leaving them to be in a great light, amazing. How this government is allowed to get away with this, covering up when it pleases and hiding truth’s. And we can’t do a thing about it. Its not a bit of wonder we have no respect for the labor party who got in on the backs of the greens.
I'm sick of how slipper got away with what he has; everyone knows this had been doing it for years, what a big cover up there. He should have been sack Instantly, that’s our money, paying out good money for nonsense being cover up. That’s what we paying for. Tradesmen get sack when their not doing a good job.
I'm sick of Craig Thomson; he has been cornered and yet was able to slip through, when he should have been sack instantly. Our hard earned union money of the back of everyday mums and dads that work hard, this government is fraught with cover ups. Unscrupulous and corrupt it’s proven to be against the Australia people and ruining our very own life style we used to have.
Carbon Tax is so Unjust on us all based on untruths. That’s what this government does best. Business having to put people off in droves now, and yet Julia won’t concede to this and says its alright. Come on another cover up. We are not that stupid Julia. But really fed up as its getting worse out each day.
The boat people decision could not even get that right, made every excuse under the sun why it was the coalitions fault, we didn’t have as many before you took over Julia, it was doing ok. But it’s like the rest of the stuffed ups. Many things they haven’t gotten right the list is long now.
I just find it hard to believe that Anita’s discussion here is announcing another Canberra trip. And only I reply, so disappointed in just grounds, this was what brought me to this forum in the first place, thought it showed what gutsy wonderful folk, standing up for what you believed in, how much you cared what’s happening to Australia, thought what a great caring bunch, with such fighting spirit in not giving up and giving it ago. All I have to say where did it go?. No wonder we are being ridden rough shot over.
We are needed one more time as a united bunch to give them what for once again. Yes we won’t have the trucks from coming all over, but we have our fighting spirit left, Or have you allowed that to be crushed as well.
Disappointed in Just grounds
