Right now, between 1pm and 2pm on weekdays, we have the 'Lunching in the Seventies' hour, so I expect they will play something from disco divaDonna Summerwho passed away yesterday. 

Yesterday we heard Get it On, Boogie Shoes, BARRACUDA - great!, Angie, Daniel, Teach me How to Fly, a double-shot of Abba, Right side of the Road, the Logical Song, and that (imo, of course) awful song by Chicago 25 or 6 to 4.

And later another Robert Palmer one, I do remember that it was Simply Irresistible.

Barb, you were talking about wearing out your Boon docks record, as I did with my Billy Joe Royal 'Hush'.

When they announced a song coming up from BJR I immediately thought of HUSH;  I had it on a 45rpm.  My mum had ok'd the purchase, (I was about 13) but later I found out that was because she thought I was getting Herman Hermit's 'There's a Kind of HUSH' - well she nearly had a seizure when she heard my Hush 'Oh that's dreadful!', hehehe...I still love it:

BTW, yes they have dedicated the double-shot for today to Donna S - Hot Love and I Feel Love.

I was reading that Deep Purple later did a cover of this.

Hi Pamela,

The lovely Donna Summer was the reason for my extraction from heavy rock following, to other forms of music.

Her untimely death at 63, is a damn shame, but she had been looking like there was something wrong for a few years. And her going back to her Christian roots, was probably an indication of her vulnerability.

Ah, such a waste.
