For Like minded people who like to see-
By being able to express their true opinions here on Just Grounds it is hopeful that a report card will emerge on the progress or lack of it in NSW as seen by the people most effected by the new Liberal Leadership given the mandate they received for cutting away the deadwood of many years of Labor and returning NSW to previous laws regarding Land rights for citizens with both Rural and Coastal properties that were removed under Labor using the UNIPCC hoax and fake estimation of Sea Rise over the next 100 year time line .And removing the rights of Property owners and Prime Agricultural Land owners to say No to the invasion of their lands by Coal Gas Companies and Windpower generating Companies and to the potential contamination of the ground water reserves by this in most cases unwelcome development.
In November 2009 the NSW LABOR State Government released a number of policies to provide guidance in specifically addressing the impacts of climate change and NSW State Government Sea Level Rise Policy Statement was handed to Councils to implement.
It should to be noted as Opposition Leader our Premier O’Farrell (pre-Election in Parliament) described this Labor Sea Rise Legislation as The Coastal Destruction Act.) Yet he has changed nothing since taking office A year on the progress under our NEW Liberal Government is either non-existent or painfully slow and Green and Labor Councils all over NSW and especially the Coastal Councils who have embraced the Labor Sea Rise Levels Policy Statement as a means of taking further control over private property continue to run their own race and follow the Hoax UNIPCC Gillard Labor Climate Change UNIPCC Policy and implemented in NSW by the NSW Labor Government.
Note, this Government / Council Sea Rise farce is costing the Rate Payer plenty. Not to mention the higher Insurance costs and the drop in Land and property values by this stupidity imposed on ratepayers who own effected properties. What is your current position and are you satisfied with this Government.

NSW Liberal Right thumped on executive. Dec 15th 2012. From The Australian Newspaper.
THE once-dominant Right faction of the NSW Liberals has been obliterated in internal elections for key party positions.
After the ballots of 577 state council members were counted last night, the Right had secured only one position on the 21-member state executive, compared with the five spots it previously held.
The new state president, replacing NSW senator Arthur Sinodinos, is former state minister and Australasian Casino Association boss Chris Downy.
He defeated the Right's candidate, mortgage broker John Ruddick, by 359 votes to 218.
Like Mr Downy, both vice-presidents, Kelly Knowles and Trent Zimmerman, are from the Left faction.
The key figure in the Left in NSW, lobbyist and former state minister Michael Photios, has been returned to the executive.
The poor showing by the Right is an illustration of a favourite saying of its former figurehead, John Howard: "Disunity is death in politics".
The faction split in 2009 after a falling out between state upper house MP David Clarke and his protege, Alex Clarke.
Since then, more state MPs have peeled off and allied themselves with a broad grouping called the "soft Right" by its members and the "new Left" by its opponents.
Last month the Right failed in its bid to introduce direct election of party officials, and of parliamentary candidates, by branch members.
However, the proposition was referred to a committee due to report next year.
Mr Ruddick said last night: "Among the 13,000 members of the Liberal Party in NSW, only 5 per cent are allowed to vote for their party president."
"It won't be long before all party members will have a vote, and if that happened I would have received 85 per cent of the vote."
Vivienne leads by example- We must shake these people up - surely a poll saying Gillard is 12 pionts more popular than Abbott must just be Muckturdan spin but....... being a good bloke will get you nowhere these days. Be a lying scumbag and you're in like Flynn to to the highest office.

PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE
REPORT 6/55 – NOVEMBER 2012
Executive Summary page ix
The Committee was keen to hear directly from consumers. To do this, the Committee worked with the NewDemocracy Foundation to conduct an innovative consultation process. The NewDemocracy Foundation formed two Citizens’ Policy Juries, with one group based in Sydney and the other in Tamworth. The Citizens’ Policy Juries comprised of randomly-selected citizens who volunteered their time. The methodology adopted by the NewDemocracy Foundation in this process is detailed in Chapter One. The groups subsequently each provided a report, and these are included as Appendices to this Report. Their views informed the Committee’s deliberations, and are also referred to in the main body of this Report. The Committee was particularly impressed by the commitment which the participants showed to the process, and the generosity they showed in giving their time. The Committee has recommended that the NSW Government consider adopting similar processes in other areas of policy where appropriate.
The terms for these informed citizens: 1.12 The proposal asked the Citizens’ Policy Jury to reach agreement on ‘the order of preference, level of interest and the preferred funding model for alternative forms of energy generation (e.g. tidal, geothermal) in NSW.’1 The Committee agreed that the Jury’s recommendations would be provided to the NSW Government as part of the Committee’s final report.

History
A policy jury is, as one would expect, a deliberative body composed of people whose primary goal is to convene and make a decision on the matter of public policy. In this case, the policy juries that convened in Sydney and Tamworth were tasked with giving recommendations for renewable energy alternatives.

Yes I am fully aware that we need to basically tip the whole current mess into the Swill bucket where it belongs and start afresh but it does not mean we cannot learn from past mistakes and sucesses.
Barry are you listening!!!
Permalink Reply by Geoff Hutchesson on January 16, 2013 at 10:44pm Stephen,
All very fine and marvellous, that you (and a lot of other folk) expect Barry O'Farrell to wave a magic wand and fix the mess that the State was in after 16 years of Labor, with the first 10 years being headed by Bob Carr, followed by Iemma, Rees and Keneally. This mish-mash of Labor governments virtually brought the State down on it's knees.
Carr resigned as his popularity had slipped to below 35%. (No Bluddy wonder)
The same scenario will occur with a change of Federal government. You will see and hear the calls for changes in reform, not happening quick enough, why doesn't Abbot do more etc. The difference here is that the current Labor Socialists have spent beyond the counties means, incurred immense debt, and basically sabotaged the system. Undoing the Carbon Tax will just be a start.
It won't be a 12 month fix either.

Dear Tony,
COMMENTS OF THE MICHAEL SMITH PAGE.
"Ummm To the Liberal idiots, why would you side with Roxon? seriously if this is what we are in for when and if Liberals get into office at the top we are screwed, and this is only a state government....
Why? thats a good question, whats wrong with things now? people can sue if they are offended already? but its water of a ducks back right... If you are being picked on say at school or work, tell someone, then sue if you must, but that wont make it go away unless you tell people.
Maybe I am out of touch, but siding with Roxon is a very bad mistake.

"The NSW Libs are a disaster, imho.
It was reported yesterday on the front page of the Sunday Telegraph that they apparently want to rip us all off another $300 a year for some b******* bushfire levy?
If the Liberals want to run Australia (Federally) then they had better get their act together in the States, and stop copying Labor?
O'Farrell doesn't listen to the people of NSW apparently? Neither does Greg Smith? Forcing payment of money from good and decent people (by way of a penalty called the Victims Compensation Levy) is a case in point, I think. People who have been found by a Magistrate to have been treated unfairly and told that they would receive no penalty, should not be treated like this imho? NSW Libs don't appear to have a clue about fairness?
We are all under enough stress with the Labor Federal Government. We don't need the NSW Libs behaving unfairly as well, do we?
Is he being advised by the same people as Gillard?
