For Like minded people who like to see-
This discussion was motivated by a program that was prepared for television but never went to air about a planned terrorist attack on the Melbourne Cricket Ground during an AFL Final Game. Fortunately the AFP intervened to prevent the attack. The program stated that one of the two terrorists had received over $1,000,000 in Social Service Benefits during the years he was in Australia planning this attack.
I was updating my profile page and thought the 'LEAVE' Box meant leave page and not leave Just Grounds altogether. Lost everything to date on this discussion and apologise to all those who have contributed to the discussion. So I have rejoined and we will continue this discussion here. I have (earlier today when responses to this discussion were approximately at 350+) posed the question if we should look at fast-tracking the release of ? under-aged boat smugglers as proposed by the visiting Indonesian Leader?

A site in Geneva switzerland with much information as to how other countries tackle this issue as well as links to recent UN Documents on this issue as well.
On top of that I have also added a number of PFD Documents on the aspects of Private Security firms running immigration detention centres worldwide and feedback on those experiences.
Italy is probably the closest in experience to Australia when it comes to Illegal immigration and in many cases the Illegals are of the same Genus with a predominantly Muslim background.
We must remember however that Muslims being persecuted by other Muslims probably in truth makes up the greatest number of people really at risk around the World,It is not just the Coptic Christians of Egypt being persecuted and Murdered by the Muslim Brotherhood.
In Darfur and Northern Somalia many Local Muslims were being Murdered,Raped and having their self subsistance Farming lands and Villages Burnt and in some cases the Land salted to destroy it's productivity.
These people were the Victims of Wahibi sect members from Saudi Arabia generally the Sunni Group most responsible around the World for acts of Terrorism and Crimes against Humanity,an aspect often glossed over by the United Nations.
These victims some of whom have come to Australia as legitimate refugees consist of a mix of both Muslim and Christian and no doubt also a number of opportunist types in the mix as well.
Possibly even some of the purpurtrators as well from differing regions in this group as well would along with old tribal issues explain some of the unacceptable behavious of some members of these groups especially evident in Adelaide and Melbourne but also evident in reports from Tamworth NSW LAC.(Local Area Command of NSW Police).
A good perusal of the Files I have uploaded will show Australia under Howard was not the Evil Regime proposed by the Far Left groups and their Media stooges as many other Countries were similar and in some cases harsher than Australia then and now.
We not only need to "Stop the Boats" but process facts not Idealogies, especially any UN Idealogies as they are genuinely disadvantageous to Australians and in truth any Citizens of the World.

Those websites were very informative and the Privatization Paper made for interesting reading. I never ever thought that there could be similarities between Australia and Italy re asylum seekers but it is obvious that these refugees would also arrive by boat.
Could you let me know how I could get further information about the 'unacceptable behaviours of some members of these groups' you referred to above?
Another boat has been identified as being in distress and has been seen to have been turned around and ?heading back to Indonesia.
Fond regards

Yes a little bit off the beaten track, but couldn't find another place to slip it in.
They plotted, they cried, they voted from the national news paper
Michael Gordon | the news of another tragedy came just after a group of MPs resolved to 'stop being politicians and be parliamentarians - just for one day'.
I mean to say, I listen to Julia saying how she gave everyone the chance to have their say, and no one had come forward to met her half way, but then went on to say how their were ideas that came across some would not just work out and some too dangerous for our navel men. What are they being trained for then, to protect and handle some really bad situations, isn't that what our boarder control people are suppose to be doing and to know exactly what to do in a dangerous situation.
Always excuses. Ben Fordham put it to her, asking the questions that she had let the greens have some of it their way and yet not the coalition. Ben was brilliant going at her relentless, not letting her off the hook not for one minute.
She has differently has a lot to answer for, she is dead set wants it her way, Malaysia swap, I mean to say apart from sending folk there who for sure would get mel treated, we would be getting the dregs back from the swap, rapist, murderous, thieves, it would be a great opportunity for them to get rid of the worst of the worst and give them to us, a real dumping ground. We do have to protect our country and as I see it, this government since in power has created such a mess, it’s their fault clearly, and how dare they get a pay rise for this mess they’ve created.
Nothing wrong with Naroo, Julia just doesn't want to give in, it would be seen that she was caving in, shame on you Julia, children and women life’s are at stake, but now they’re saying Coco Island is becoming a Mecca for the unscrupulous, criminals, better there and not here. but Naroo was good option and work before, Julia so not fair in the stalling and it’s not the coalition as you seem to be making out, it’s you that want bend, out navel men have been trained to do a job, that's why they have been sent overseas to fight, and we are paying heaps out for this job to be done, to help protect Australia. Or have you spent that money as well Julia to give yourself a pay rise, can’t afford them to get hurt Hmm.

The boat is moving slowly south so it has not been turned back. It is being monitored and it is reported that there are no visible signs of distress. However, it is not possible to board the boat because of the heavy seas at the present time.

Permalink Reply by Dr Caroline Wright on July 4, 2012 at 7:28pm Indonesian Authorities were not prepared to assist the Australian Navy with the newest boat to leave their shores. The boat had only left port when someone on board used a satellite telephone and directly contacted the appropriate authorities in Australia. Once again the same problem is occurring and the Labor Government will have to 'wear it'.

Permalink Reply by Stephen Cox on July 4, 2012 at 11:52pm I think maybe the only Australian Naval vessel that would make them turn back would be a Submarine,Unfortunately ours are all unservicable,Swedish Rubbish ordered by that Dolt Beasley as a means of sucking up to a newley elected fellow Labor Government in Sweden at the Time.
Indonesia are laughing at us,Gillard is a braindead fool they will knife if it suited them,But the Labor Party allowed her to do so much damage nobody wants the job now except possibly Christine Milne the grubby architect of the Carbon Dioxide scam tax.
Legally the navy or any Captain under International Maritime Law is obliged to return any victims of Maritime Incidents to the Closest Port.
All we have to have is a Naval Captain who has the balls to do so and stand on legal protocol against the Illegal Orders of this Government to obviously bring them to Australia which is actually in direct contravention of Maritime Laws.
Stand by the Law of the Sea as it Stands,Never forget whilst they may be Australian Flagged Ships the Captain on a ship is actually a Law unto himself bound above all else by International Maritime Law including during times of War,Hence why we are able to lay charges against those who attack certain ships such as Hospital Ships and Passenger ships during War.
The letter of legal intent is very clear for any and all ships at hand or able to steam to directly and at earliest opportunity proceed to any Maritime distress signal location and commence search and recovery operations,They are then obliged to proceed to the nearest friendly or Neutral Port even in times of War to offload any survivors in a most expeditious manner possible or transfer to another vessel if available.
I wonder what would happen if instead of all this talk of Narau etc the newly elected Liberal Government took another step and picked up these bludgers and instead of Australia or Christmas Island instead went to Diego Garcia and handed them over to US Authorities for incarceration as potential terrorists from Afghanistan,Watch the problem stop immediately and rejoice in the Funeral Notices for Various Green Politicians who passed away from a heart attack in shock apon hearing of this new development
Permalink Reply by Jan Courtney on July 5, 2012 at 7:21am Asylum-seekers accused of 'using navy like NRMA'
PEOPLE-SMUGGLERS are treating the Australian navy "like the NRMA", officials fear, as an asylum boat makes its way towards Christmas Island under escort after a mayday call made closer to Indonesia than the Australian outpost.
Immigration authorities say smugglers are becoming increasingly audacious, telling asylum boat captains to phone for help hours after leaving Indonesian ports.
