This discussion was motivated by a program that was prepared for television but never went to air about a planned terrorist attack on the Melbourne Cricket Ground during an AFL Final Game. Fortunately the AFP intervened to prevent the attack. The program stated that one of the two terrorists had received over $1,000,000 in Social Service Benefits during the years he was in Australia planning this attack.

I was updating my profile page and thought the 'LEAVE' Box meant leave page and not leave Just Grounds altogether. Lost everything to date on this discussion and apologise to all those who have contributed to the discussion. So I have rejoined and we will continue this discussion here. I have (earlier today when responses to this discussion were approximately at 350+) posed the question if we should look at fast-tracking the release of ? under-aged boat smugglers as proposed by the visiting Indonesian Leader?

On Q and A tonight the boat people issue was raised with no headway made. Virginia Triollie (?spelling) was the moderator tonight. But what I have noticed this year on Q and A, where they always say that it is a 'program where you ask the questions', the moderators are intervening more and more and asking questions. It was very evident tonight but Tony Jones also has increased his participation. The end result is that the public participation is reduced.

A Canadian female libertarian wrote a lot of letters to the Canadian Government,Complaining about the Treatment of captive Insurgents(terrorists) being held in Afghanistan National Correctional System Facilities.

She demanded a response to her letter of correspondence,She recieved back the following reply.

Thank you for your recent letter expressing your profound concern of the treatment of the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists captured by Canadian Forces who were subsequently transferred to the Afghanistan Government and are currently being held by Afghan Officials in Afghanistan National Correctional Facilities.

Our Administration takes these matters seriously and your opinions were heard loud and clear here in Ottawa.You will be pleased to learn,thanks to the concerns of Citizens like yourself,We are creating a new Department here at the Department of National Defence,To be called "Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers Program,or LARK for short.

In accordance with the guidelines of this new program,we have decided to divert one terrorist and place him in your personal care.

Your personal detainee has been selected and is scheduled for transportation under heavilty armed guard to your residence in Toronto next monday.

Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud (you can call him Ahmed) is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint!

It will be necessary for you to hire some assistant caretakers.We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly recommend in your letter.

Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his "Attitudinal Problem" will help him overcome these character flaws.

Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences.

We understand you plan to offer counceling and home schooling.Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand to hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or a pair of nail clippers.We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these skills at your next yoga group.

Please advise any Jewish friends,Neighbours or relatives about your house guest,as he might get agitated or even violent,but we are sure you can reason with him.

He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products,so you may wish to keep those items locked up,unless (in your opinion) this might offend him.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters (except sexually) since he views females as a subhuman form of property thereby having no rights,including refusal of his sexual demands.This is a particulary sensitive subject for him and he has been known to show violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the dress code that he will "recommend" as more appropriate attire.

I'm sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka over time.

Just remember it is all part of "respecting his culture and religious beliefs" as described in your letter.

Some details that will explain just who may be coming here from Pakistan,Bear in mind though that the Bad guys are just as likely to use this as a ruse to sneak into Australia as well and under Labor and especially the Greens this is a concern and that point has been made repeatedly on Sydney talk back by none other than already resident Australians of the Muslim Faith as well as Lebanese Maronite Christians and the few Coptic christians able to escape Murder and persecution in Egypt at the hands of the Muslim brotherhood.

Especially in the last case the current Government and DEFAT have seemed to have gone out of their way to make it as difficult as possible for Egyptian Copts to escape legitimately to sanctuary in Australia if not the West in general due to Left leaning Treachery in political circles.

The complexity of the problem seems to increase each day as more information comes to light. I know that I would not like to be employed by the group that has to assess and process claims for aslyum. Thanks Stephen for the 'Adopt a Terrorist' Letter as it is true in it's content but also provides a bit of light relief which we need every now and then.

Yes the problems are complex Caroline and I consider myself lucky to have genuine close friends where I get fatcs often not touched apon in the mainstream and only available on the net if you know the right questions to ask.

Among my friends I number Muslims of Sunni Lebanese extract,Fijian Indian Shiite,and even Sufi the Islamic Mystic sect,Add to them various friends from South America, Israel,Russia, China,Canada,Japan,Finland,

Sweden,Scotland,Ireland,Germany,France,Italy, Macadonia,Greece,Egypt the USA,England and New Guinea,Kenya,South Africa,Tanzania and I get a good World View.

People are both Good and Bad,Weak or Strong,Selfish or Generous no matter where they come from or whatever there Racial background,However since 911 and the threat to funding to the IRA because of that it has narrowed the field of those who seek to use terror indiscriminately down to a small group of the Worlds population.

However this does not include those who by stealth wish to change either Political Landscapes around the world or ownership of wealth and property and hence control of the mass public at large,these are by far the most dangerous as often the damage is done before you realise it.

In this regard we can actually be thankfull to Julia Gillard and her alliance with the Greens for they have unwittingly exposed the treachery of the Greens and the UN so people can hopefully fight the menace of enslavement and Totalitarism sucessfully without seeing another World War,For that inadvertant warning by those who are too arrogant and self assured of their own superiority to ever ultimately suceed.

They will however make us pay dearly for becoming too complacent for Freedom is only deserved by those prepared to fight for it.

Having had time to think about the information contained in the above website I am left wondering what will happen when the troops eventually leave Afghanistan? Is it conceivable that these fundamentalists groups in Pakistan will wage an 'all-out-war' on Afghanistan? I don't mean like it is today but a more aggressive attack? Will the Afghanistan army be able to cope or, in the event of an 'all-out-war', will other countries have to come to their aid?

So it is not just who might try to sneak into Australia it also is about what will happen in Afghanistan.

Two boats were intercepted: one yesterday and one last night. The 150 illegal immigrants are being offloaded now at Christmas Island.

The Police raided a premises in Parramatta today and arrested 9 people as well as seizing drugs, firearms, money, explosive and detonators. Potential terrorists tools here. Will keep readers informed as the news comes to hand unless someone else from New South Wales knows more.

Maybe the reason that PM Julia recently gave 4x Hercules aircraft to Indonesia, was so that they can cut out the dangerous boat bit and fly these economic refugees directly to Australia.

And the Indonesians could fill up the aircraft fuel tanks here in Australia.

It would be cheaper than getting navy vessels to pick them up and take them to Christmas Island at $1 million dollars a time.

No I'm not suggesting a manifesto for refugee intake.

Just an idea that flashed across my mind, after I heard Hadley on the boat people.
