Perhaps Lewis Carroll who coined the words and the Beatles had it right when they sang  the words -;

"The Time has come the Walrus said"

Thus I would say -;

"It is encumbent upon all those people, who believe that Liberty and Freedom is a Right of human endeavour, to stand against all forms of National tyrrany that reduces the Sovereignty and Individual capacity to enjoy and partake of such Liberties.

We dare not forget that history has deemed fit to cast the frame of future prosperity and we as the custodians must uptake the baton and mould the future for the benefit of the next generation.

Let us go forth in the knowledge that we shall endeavour to meet any challenge that diminishes our Sovereign Rights to ensure that justice prevails."

I would suggest that to adhere to this position, a list of Issues be constructed in order that current and new members can avail themselves of directional structures.

These structures should also be referenced to past discussions from this site that are relevant and knowledgable -- thus allowing comprehensive information to abound in reference to todays issues.

"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." --Thomas Paine: The American Crisis, No. 4,1777

Says it all doesn't it Ladies and gents

Amendment made = I had forgotten about Mr. C.L. Dodgson -- Must be getting old.

As for the quote = Unfortunately it was from three people = Me, Myself and I.

Alyn, this is a joke??  Your quotation refers. "Perhaps the Beatles had it right when they coined the words -; "The Time has come the Walrus said"

Poor Tweedledum and Tweedledee would fall dowwn in shock at your misattribution of their famous poem delivered to Alice, in Lewis Carroll's immortal 'Through the Looking Glass', to that song by the Liverpudlians!!

Cheers  alan

PS  Who was the source of your quotation by the way? Sounds Thomas Jeffersonian.  al

Highly relevant Stephen but to do nothing and let everything degenerate is IMHO far worse.

Alyn said ....As for the quote = Unfortunately it was from three people = Me, Myself and I. I think that it must be very crowded in your head then , Alyn, with all those people in there! LOL

forgetting about the "walrus" reference...the rest of what Alyn says is true and important...

I have been an avid reader of JG since coming across it during the Convoy Days and whilst I dont comment a lot, in essence I agree with the mainstream thoughts on here, but I have one comment......

There is a lot of talking/comments going on about the status quo......but how can we take these comments and concerns and turn them into action?.....how can we get the message out there?...we need to ....I sure as hell dont know how you do it

How can we stop the boat people coming?

How can we stop the Muslim invasion of Australia?

How can we see fair justice over the AWU scandal?

How can we axe the carbon tax?

How can we get back our property rights?

How can we haul in the cost of NBN?

How can we stop the drunken sailor spending?

How do we make this Govt or even the next one, more accountable?

Etc. etc. we all know it is wrong but how can we stop it?

Wait for the next election? ....that is fraught with danger as I doubt (as you say here..IMHO) that the current opposition will do any better unless there is a BIG change in attitude coming from the electorate I.E. the people..and not just the staunch 55+ people actively commenting here on JG

I think that this "how to action the change" is what Rob Moore has been wrestling with for some time here also ...but Rob can comment on that....

Now I will duck back under my desk....:-))

Graham- you got it all in one paragragh. Alyn mentioned a good old relevent topic elsewhere and he is correct but what beats us all is the time and inactivity and the  emotional outrage and we all need hope or a light at the end of the tunnel.

This is why fatigue has hit us all. The easy part is know who what and why we are being screwed. So far in my life - I have learnt that you have to make things happen and it is always a power of wills (Code for fear -as in you need the person you are trying to reason with to have his balls in a vice controlled by you to get their undivided attention).

imo This is the link that we all seek. If the media weren't on the take due to advertising contractual threats ( think govt advert is worth millions to them all)- they -via a few good journalists would shake the average joe out of their ipod slumber to demand action. I look at the keen contributors on here now and most are relatively new (less than a year). I find myself agreeing with most stuff but have said my bit so often - I bore myself even. I'm not religeous and  don't subscribe to the good guys will win in the end. We have one crack at it and decent people with half a brain know what is right from wrong.

I used to tell Peter Spencer- timing and tactics will win the day - not whether you get the last pallet of govt fabrication documents when you have more than a semi load now. I personally got Peter King QC  the AFFF money to run the case and with that comes pressure to perform!. The old probono set up that meant  we'll do a bit everynow and then when it suits us- didn't suit me one bit. I tried to apply pressure where it was needed but was spurned for my efforts inspite of saving the who set up a couple of times. There is no doubt in my mind that with the carbon "discovery" evidence- Jaques and CATA to help fundraise and a secure audited tax deductable account for big business to pay the legals (Clive Palmer was begging  for a case to be launched in April this year). Peter King was going to announce it through 2GB( bit like when the convoy was forming up) ALL the detail was going to come through this site as I had sole control and  GILLARD would not have had to lie as

" there will be no carbon tax in a govt I lead"  The High Court would have put an injunction on the 4 CFI bills and the 18 Clean energy bills   UNTILL they worked out whether the kyoto carbon units that the Govt is using were stolen goods!!

ie the basis of the Spencer Federal Court hearing.

How it all got stuffed up- was it deliberate???-I will probably never know. I do know that the Aust Govt Solicitor had his balls in the vice as the evidence is overwhelming from ALL sides of politics.

I find it all very depressing but I won't give up while I have another mate getting the vice in position(have to be for her nose I guess)

Rob

Then the clue here is how to get the next Govt. balls in the vice. It is too late for this one. They have got out and screwed everything in the paddock to date.

I know (from reading the strings here) that you have put a mammoth effort into supporting Peter and his court case and it seems like yr not finished with it yet and I salute you for your unwavering efforts on top of running a station as you do. I just wish that I knew how to give you some support on this?

Alan

Too late once they are voted in....as Rob says below..."need to get their balls in the vice"..before you vote for them....and you need to get the majority of people swinging on the vice handle....:-))  that is the big task ahead....

Fair challenges, Graham. There is only one realistic answer IMHO (There you go!  :-) You have to get a process underway! And how do you do that? Quite simple, Vote the Coalition in, and then lean on your local member. Otherwise, it's all, well, to quote a phrase used often and effectively by the Owner, B*lls**t! Fiddling at the edges while Rome Oz burns :-(

See, I told you it was easy!!

Cheers  al

Yes Dr Caroline -- it does get crowded occasionally especially when a cousin "the shadow" puts his two cents worth in but there is an upside -- sometimes I have great parties.

If the aim is to be as Graham suggests where the outcome is a "Major Force" that Government fears then Perhaps a "small" start to build a National entity is required. A few small wins may attract a wider audience and thus a higher profile. All that is required is a "Cause" plus a Marketing concept and enough boots on the ground to not only launch but follow-up any orchestrated action where the aim is to put severe pressure on stakeholders plus the powers that be = Associations, Governing bodies, Politicians from Every pursuasion and ultimately the Government. Lets face it -- Vote time is coming so why not use that point as a banner = eg -; Pass this "Cause" OR you are gone -- NO Second Chances.

The first "Cause" could be -; "A National Live Stock Licensing" Agenda.

What say you ??
