Thank Jim for responding so well to an article that is based on ideology rather than fact.

This clown thinks he can speak for 'the rest of the world'.

Unless he has done a huge amount of investigation and polling throughout the world he is just making assumptions.

I like many was totally unaware of what happened in Indonesia.

Either the Indonesian people didn't know or didn't care.

I'm still of the view that it was the exception rather than the rule.

Mr DeRose is in fact a very well paid actor, as for Mr Murdoch I think his recent support for vegans has very little to do with the goodness of his heart and a lot to do with rebuilding his image after the recent scandals involving news of the world

Now that we have revisited the arguments of June - July last year, and Cate has told her little story of the political intrigue regarding Ludwig at the time.

What is the answer now? What should we do?

It was always going to happen again. I said so in June last year. It didn't gain me many friends. Probably lost a few.

Is the industry any better prepared today? Judging by what I heard on ABC/WA Country Hour today, the answer is no.

Is not the question whether it is feasible, in a country like Indonesia, which is made up of hundreds of islands, for an exporter of live animals, Australia, to control what happens to those animals once they have been sold and landed in Indonesia?

If the answer is yes. Then my advice is to go over there and live there for a few months and see if the experience changes your mind.
