Hi Jeff T.
Yes I have read some of his colums in the Sunday Tele. Sunday 3/1/10 & 10/1/10 both were concerned with the climate issue. What is Gaia? I havent seen this before. I will google it my self, but would value your thoughts.

Perhaps Colin, but I think Young Tony has most likely had enough instruction from the head honchos and prefers to head in his own direction. Might not hurt to mention the good Cardinal's views in dispatches tho.

I have always been able to take him or leave him. disagree with him on many issues, but I could warm to him now. Maybe we should invite him to join Agmates ???

Jeff T Hutcho, had the same thought myself. Gore has created his own religion, I am sure the Catholic Church would not like that and neither do I!

Brendan, how could we invite Pell? That is a great idea.

I too was raised RC & taught by the Sisters of St Joseph, God bless em.
I really lost all interest with thr RC religion when my wife of 40 years last 03/01/10 (an Anglican at that time) attended instruction prior to our wedding. Our local priest who will remain nameless was a noted tippler. Over three nights the full bottle of Scotch on the sideboard disappeard. On the day of the wedding he adressed me as Bernard right thru the service & even entered my name on the marriage certificate as Bernard, which wasn't picked up for quite a long time. (He WAS pissed when he conducted the service.) Does that mean Ive been living in sin for 40 years.? Geeze I hope not.
Pastoral talks? Not on your Nellie.

I was actually an alter boy in the 60's. Small country town. NEVER had an issue with unsavoury conduct. Local priest actually coached our school footy side. Not all are of the "unsavoury" types, but those that are deserve to be bought to account.

I always thought this man was just against women being given equal opportunity in the catholic church (and I am convinced there would not have been such institutionalised paedophilia in this church if women had been given senior roles).
I understand he is an arch-conservative therefore it does not surprise me that he does not believe our climate is changing.
