He is a flat out nutter.  And it is time he went.  We have suffered enough already.  The danger is, who will replace him?

UPDATE: Christine Milne will replace him as leader.

UPDATE: Audio.  Bob Brown mad as a cut snake.

Audio added.

Hi Ruth,

Christine Milne to replace Bob Brown - is this a "from the frying pan into the fire" situation?

I've always considered Sen Christine Milne more dangerous than Brown. Brown's rhetoric over the last few years has been 'past it'.

Interesting times.

Christine Milne: The Carbon Price is not enough.  We need the Carbon Price plus plus plus.

just for the knowing.

Hi Denise,

I have just seen Christine Milne say she was looking forward to a future Green government, on an interview on ABC24 News.

Shudder.

Adam Bandt as Deputy Greens leader. Not bad for a person that called the Greens a "bourgeois party" and as a student was a member of the Left Alliance.

And from Menzies House:

Brown's Exit Gives Extreme Left a Foothold in the Greens (Ron Boswell)

http://www.menzieshouse.com.au/2012/04/browns-exit-gives-extreme-le...

What is missing from that is the Senator's soft image complete with alpacas, that was part of the original picture.

"Working hard to keep farmers on the land" - in destitution.

My worry is that Bob Carr may be a 'leader in waiting'. Labor appears to believe that Carr is a hero of the party, and could easily step into the leaders position, due to the lack of talent in the Labor party.

Graham Richardson stated recently that there really isn't anyone there to replace Gillard.

KRudd is tainted, except they appear to like him in his electorate.

Steven Smith lacks something.

Wayne Swann has his moments of grandeur, in his own mind.

Simon Crean is too far in the union shadow, as is Bill Shorten, who also lacks experience.

I just want to see them end up in oblivion for a generation.

(Sorry Cate, I've used that four letter word again)

Well Cate, you certainly have been busy here.  lots of reading and movies here loved your photo great choice, kept me out of trouble for a bit.  Today I was sitting at the doctors office with my phill, he had his tablet computer with him, I had my book, he said ha Barb Bob Browns gone, we both thought terrific, but after awhile herd that  Christine Anne Milne, yep she is dangerous force to be reckon with,  her back ground mind boggling, run circles around Bob.  A bit like Julia ran circles around Kevin, couple together working, so bad.  Communism ratbags.

Like you had said

Greens and Labor responsible for Peter Spencer and THOUSANDS of everyday Australians losing their land - this is COMMUNISM!

Your dead right.

Friday the 13th

Barb

Hi Jan,

Don't get me wrong, by using the word "hero" applied to Carr. That is not my impression, due to his record as NSW Premier - as you stated. And not forgetting Cate's nightmare due to the Carr government as well.

But PM Gillard invites him into the position on the Labor benches and promotes him from obscurity in the political world, to the prestige job as Foreign Minister - treated like a long lost hero.

You have seen that Youtube of Carr posted here on this thread ?

That shows him as a arrogant vandal, rivaling PM Gillard, Swann "the world's best treasurer" and Brown.

Jan Courtney said:

Cate,  Tony said that Milne had left JG which is probably just as well.

Jeff,  I can't see how anyone could think that Carr is any sort of hero or saviour.  When he was Premier of NSW, he and his sidekick treasurer Egan made such a mess of things that Carr just up and resigned on the spot,  not even as Brown did and stay in Senate until June -  Carr just simply walked.

I hope people remember that, as he is just as big a vandal as Gillard and Swan.

The end of Bob Brown is not the end of the red-green alliance.

The tree-huggers hate human life, and the commies hate peace and prosperity. They may differ slightly in their tactics, but they still share plenty of common ground.

Yes Christine Milne is dangerous for as a true zealot she believes her own BS wheras that looser from South Australia is just a brain dead bimbo who proves my point everytime she opens her mouth.

The Greens though will need a new Deputy since come the next election Adam Bandt will be gone unless he sneakily tries to move to the Senate hoping they get enough of a percentage for Senate seats.

The ones who need to watch out though are the ABC and the Lamestream media,For example they will not be looked apon kindly when the average person works out how they were dudded.

Interestingly in the US State of Georgia and elsewhere all sides of Politics have decided to band together and fight against the UN Agenda 21 which is the cause of most of our grief.

Too many people focus on the effect and neglect the cause,Most of the threads on JustGrounds are about things that are a result of Agenda 21 so called sustainability UN Garbage.

Local Enviromental Plans (LEP's) Solar Power scams,Coal Seam Gas,Carbon Tax,Clover Moores stupid Bike Lanes in Sydney the List goes on and it all stems from Agenda 21.

If we really want to wake up Australian's from Apathy send them to Agenda 21 for Dummies on Youtube that will get their attention then the more they look into it they will understand the Global Warming Hoax and the Carbon Tax etc,Loss of soverign rights etc,Even on 2GB the main media forum that tries to expose these bastards only Brian Wilshire on from 10pm weeknights really exposes the treachery the right way by exposing the underlying cause of the effects we see and rail against.

No matter where you are in the country you can listen live on the net or on your smartphone or Ipod, you will be surprised at just how many people are becoming aware of what is going on,Labor and the Greens are in for a Hammering at the Elections.

Just remember as I have said before Local Government elections occurr all the time over the country so expose and target your Local traitors,We do not have to wait seemingly powerless and frustrated for the next Federal election to fight back.

Maybe we need a thread dedicated to results for Local Elections so all can see the hopefully changing for the better state of play as we slowly remove the Greens and Labor for their treachery,But we must also make it plain to the Coalition they have to earn our Vote next time as well.

Good evening mates .

Just heard the news about the green leader . PPPPHHHHSSSSTTT! Gone .

Just as I thought .Like a balloon deflating .

Like a rubber doll that sprung  a leak with rough treatment .

Like a tyre being staked.

Like a lizard being flattened on the tar .

Goodbye Bob PPPPHHHHSSSSTTT.

Hi Stephen,

I have as recently as last night, seen the effects of talking to politicians outside their understanding, by attending a Q & A with dinner, with two Federal and two State members of the National party.

The first subject was to do with Coal Seam Gas, one of the reasons they were in this area. Of course they had been through a hard night in Gloucester the night before, so that came out in the course of discussion.

In the average politician's mind, coal seam gas drilling requires millions of litres of water, dangerous chemicals and pollution of the aquifers and a dam to hold backflow contaminated water from hydraulic  "frakking".

The usual "Gasland" propaganda that has been brought in by the so-called environmentalists.

Confusion occurred when I brought up the subject of gas fracturing. They run up against a brickwall, could not understand the principle, because they have all been under the influence of the media and enviro rhetoric.

With gas fracturing, it uses frozen to a gel propane gas, mixed with coarse sand or ceramic grains, which is forced down the well at ~ 9000 psi to fracture the shale or coal, and hold the cracks open with the grains.

Then the propane is recovered as it warms up and expands. Being a gas and propane, it does not mix with or put contaminates into solution, leaving them in the ground. It is recoverable along with the natural gas.

And no dam of contaminated water to leach or flood away.

That concept staggered at least three of them, with one asking more questions later.

The second subject was of more confidential nature, which I had to put into writing and had it delivered today. It was to do with procedure and type of information.

Lesson learned - most politicians only have  a basic knowledge of a subject, even if it may be their portfolio.

They depend on others for input - example the CSIRO, to supply them a "module" of information. Again, using the CSIRO as an example, their information may come from the IPCC, or the EA Climate Research Unit in the UK. Any or all of the sources along the line may be tainted, distorted or just plain wrong.

Even politicians, with the best of intentions, can get it wrong. Just imagine the results with politicians that have an agenda.
