Hi Colin,

Great idea, the Gurkhas are well respected people and fine soldiers.

I would prefer Gurkha people as legal immigrants, instead of illegal economic boat people that are arriving in ever increasing numbers.

But our government has wealth distribution to Least Developed Countries, on UN guidelines as their agenda.

Also our present government may not want people that have faithfully supported and defended the Royal family and the Crown.

 Hi Colin. Why not we have every other different type of nationality coming here from Arab taxi drivers, to Greek lining up, plus overseas workers for the mines as well.  Whether thieve coming in through front door back door you name it, but at least we would be getting a respectful, dutiful men going about their everyday work with much pride, adding another do mention to our wonderful courageous arm forces, It would make for a lovely change, contributing not taking away from us and expecting us to look after them.  There just wonderful to watch marching, very dedicated in what they do.  Great idea.

Possibly no one remembers when China and Pakistan were being agressive toward Nepal about five years back we were approached by the Ghurka Nation hoping they could settle in the Victorian highlands to escape persecution,This was a fair number of people but unlike those coming here in the majority the last couple of decades the Loyalty is unquestioned as is the respect for Traditional Commonwealth based culture.

Sadly they were rejected outright by the then new Government,What a wonderfull addition to Australia they would be,For as others have intimated they have been our Loyal allies for well over a Century.

Typical answer from a Government acting against Australia's best Interests working to aid the Enemy just as they did during the Vietnam War when so many Labor politicians and Union leaders went to Hanoi in a show of Solidarity only eclipsed by the High Profile Traitor Jane Fonda whose exploits in treachery were better known.

Isn't it strange how birds of a feather (used to) nest together.

Hanoi Jane, became Mrs Ted Turner, but they have since split and her settlement was $40million USD.

But that didn't matter to Turner financially, as he also donated $1billion USD to the UN.

Turner is also a Global Warming alarmist and a eugenicist, who wants the world to adopt a one child policy for 100 years, or otherwise post global warming, we could have a cannibalistic scenario.

Jee Jeff that’s a frighten thought cannibalism, Hmm.  You do have to wonder about that, already theirs embryos in place for protein for losing weight.

With all the different things going on in Australia thats turning out all so wrong, its like old values are lost and gone. Like you said Stephen reject then by this new goverment, this goverment is so out of tune, julia is a complete embarrassment to the world now in her decision making. The one thing she could get right would be to do this, Bring to Australia some pride of the Gurkhas, right now we are the lowest and sinking fast, no one will touch us, we have become too expensive, and we seem to have become a dumping ground.  So it would be nice if she could do something nice for Australia but I guess that would get stuffed up too.

Hi Barbara,

That part profile on Ted Turner is from what he has actually quoted, mostly as a scary situation that he thinks may be an end result for the rest of us not seeing Global Warming - "their way".

Turner is not the only one, Paul Ehrlich has also voiced this scenario. It also comes up in a lot of the Malthusian end of the civilised world scenarios.

Only mentioned because Stephen brought up the ex Mrs Ted Turner, "Hanoi" Jane Fonda.

 Hi Jeff. Has got something to it I feel, as more and more people are being born, Has china got the right idea about only have one child, but I feel here we have a religious group going full speed ahead for world domination.

Their will have to be something soona or later that will have to happen way beyond my time of course. But the situation will come.

Its probable and should be in another different discussion about this, I did have heaps written in but its not the right discussion to talk about it so I scrub it out, takes away from the Ghurkss I feel, so I won't go on with it.

Barbara if every living human being had a quarter acre home it would barely fill Texas with the whole population of the world.

I think that is preferable to the other statistic where they could fit everyone into some small amount of square miles if stacked up too cosy for me I think.The population isn't the issue just feeding clothing and housing etc we started heading down the right path when we started decentralisation such as Albury Wodonga then the enemy got inside the gates.

Tony don't you realise under agenda 21 how many people will live in each quarter acre block house,Note not house on a block  then they can make the rest of the world one big wilderness
