A Just Ground’s Site for …… Questions, Answers and for placing Interesting Information for the benefit of members.

Having found on occasions the need to ask a question or place some snippet of information that may be to the benefit to our Community members on the site, but then being unable to find an appropriate Discussion suitable to accommodate it. Rather than start a whole new discussion on the question I thought such a site for miscellaneous questions and for requesting answers or to place interesting information may fill the bill.  Since just Grounds has a very diverse membership there is sure to be someone or many who can answer or will be interested.  It is your site so welcome All.     Robert WN

Yes I support the reintroduction of the death penalty.

People who kill the vulnerable and disabled elderly, violent rapists, those who steal and terrorise children, sexual predators who murder, drug lords who deprive liberty of innocence and inflict terror.

My list is endless.

The prison system is a revolving door - recidivism is high.

Justice for victims of abhorrent criminal violence is never achieved or ever appropriate.

The community should not have to accommodate murderers and rapists, or extreme fear from unacceptable violent crime.

If anybody chooses to take the life of another - they don't deserve to live.

Barbara sorry to hear about your plight,Yes you have to read the fine print even people in workshops get burnt at times by some, not all of these Insurance scammers with so called extended warranties.

A few tips on your European cars in general always use a good quality synthetic oil in the Transmissions find a specialist private workshop,Most Brands and in some cases specific models often have people who specialise in some vehicles,These people also tend to be the better factory trained Technicians,We are not Mechanics these days not when many modern cars have Various Computers controlling everything over a networking system based on internet protocols, very high tech and leading edge and hence expensive.

Most European cars have good backup of companies sourcing genuine parts as used by the manufacturers direct from the supplier to the factory but at a much lower price, some research will save you lots on service costs.

There are other things people are not generally aware of of a technical nature that also make a big difference to how long the car lasts. For instance the latest standards for Engine Oils are more about appeasing the Greens and prolonging life of the Catalytic Converter the device that in theory cleans up the exhaust. emmisions.

Quality oils once contained much more of an additive known in shorthand as ZDDP a compound of Zinc and Phosporous,This was in fact the chief anti wear additive package in oils but has been greatly reduced in the latest oil specifications to place more of an emphasis on Convertor life than engine life.

Bad tradeoff in my opinion as engine repairs are far more expensive than replacing a catalytic convertor say every 5 years instead of say 10 years.

A good synthetic gearbox oil  changed more often can easily triple the life of a gearbox so the right information and maintenance schedule will pay of long term  and this is important as fewer and fewer of us can afford to replace cars every couple of years so we aviod expensive repairs. Therefore best we look after our cars as best we can.

Robert and Ebony I used to work on Police Vehicles and listening at times to some of the conversations from various officers the average Australian would be horrified at what really goes on and never gets reported to the public.

I can remember one instance where the Girl on radio despatch replied to a rego check by a highway patrol officer with the immediate reply of Caution do not approach without backup,This was then followed by about 10 minutes listing various aspects of the listed driver of that vehicle.

That included known to be armed,Assault with a knife,Assault with Firearm,Armed Robbery,Sexual Assault, Larceny,Robbery in company,Dangerous driving Drug Dealing need I go on why wasn't this person behind bars or more importantly with a first name of Mohammid the background  obviously was usualy claimed as Midddle Eastern or Mediteranean when they bothered to report their various anti social antics.

Often they refuse these days to expose the background of people in many attacks, when that happens it is generally easy to figure out what groups in society are likely offenders as they treat them with kid gloves.

Realisticaly we have imported much of our crime over the last twenty years,It used to be a major event involving gun crime or assault or murder every year or so,Now ir seems to be more often weekly and the UN and Australian Politicians are to blame for that change, some will never fit into Australian Society.

Hi Stephen, Your reply to a Questions & Answers  commentseems to have disappeared into outer space. Try again to lodge your reply if you still want to contribute. regards Robert WN

What's to stop the 'temporary' visa holders from applying for a 'permanent' one, or indeed overstaying as happens now.

He has to have more policy than, 'Stop/turn back the boats'.  One-liners are for comedians, not aspiring Prime Ministers.  Seems like at this stage he is more suited to the former occupation, than the latter which he so dearly covets.  God help us all.

Ebony I do have some insight as one of my  flatmates for a time was a Senior Commanchero and I knew a number of the people involved in the Milperra incident,It will be interesting to see what channel ten comes up with as I know facts directly from the sources,And believe me those two responsible for the Book Brothers in Arms about the Milperra Massacre should have stuck to what they did first Puberty Blues being their first work.

Both the Girls now well and truly Women who penned Brothers In Arms self exiled themselves to London  because of the fabrications in the Book.

Whilst some Police do at times cross the line much of the percieved corruption such as tip offs to crims comes from not the Police Force as such but the Various Police Services(Ie the Public Servants who are not Sworn Uniform wearing officers.

When you think about the basic lack of backup from most in the Court System,You somtimes wonder why the Police even bother.

There are Horror stories the general public will never know,I know that the bastards who raped and murdered Anita Cobby all those years ago should have been burned at the stake as far as I and others were concerned for  what they did to that poor wretched girl.

There really are people on this earth that deserve only death as an option for their Evil Sadistic ways.

Charles Manson and his cult of young killers will show those worried about Law and Order that things haven't changed in almost 40 years around this world as far as the worst of them goes.

What has changed is the lower levels of crime and violence have escalated out of control, and in many cases we have yet to experience, some will escalate to unbound Evil on a possibly far more common level than in the past.

Hi Stephen, Watching vicious crime on the increase and murder and killings becoming almost as common as jaywalking is today the lot of the law-abiding people in Australia. Killers knowing their lives are sacrosanct and they can kill at will and the only deterrent you may get caught means having the scales of justice tilted firmly on the side of the killer/murderer. The scales must be rebalanced so that your life is worth just the same as any other life therefore if you deliberately murder or kill you pay the supreme Penalty. The words “you will be taken from here to the place of execution”   should have a haunting ring on the mind of any individual contemplating any such crime. If used a few times in our Court systems it would soon lower the number of individuals willing to risk resorting to Killing and Murder. The soft Glove approach has failed as has our Court system where the Judges lack backbone and on the other side of the bench the Lawyers must make money and unfortunately there is no money in victims. So I believe the answer is a return to the Death Penalty and it is made a mandatory sentence for killing and murder. Regards Robert WN

Kathy Jackson compares Shorten to Dracula

Jeff Turnbull

12 June 2012   The Age

It's been 22 years since a trade union official addressed the right-wing think-tank HR Nicholls Society but this did not deter outspoken Health Services Union secretary Kathy Jackson, who walked away with a standing ovation.

Straight off the bat on Tuesday, Ms Jackson, a member of the ALP, admitted she had been attacked for daring to speak to the society but said she would rather have a dialogue than call each other names.

But the woman who blew the whistle on the NSW branch of the HSU did have some names for the Labor elite, such as comparing Bill Shorten in his role as Workplace Minister as like having Dracula in charge of the blood bank.

"Bill Shorten is an international grandmaster in the process of using unions as chess pieces in ALP factional warfare," she said.

"Bill Shorten as Minister for Workplace Relations is the most obvious example of Dracula being in charge of the blood bank."

Her speech centred around stronger regulation of unions in promoting confidence of their members and the need for reform in the union election process.

"Big money in union elections, like big money in all elections, threatens the democratic foundations on which a health union depends," she said.

She said rank-and-file members have no chance of getting elected unless they are part of the leadership ticket or a member of a well-sponsored reform group.

The cost of campaigning can run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars which favours the incumbents, she said.

Ms Jackson also said HSU East general secretary Michael Williamson recently told another official that he had a $2 million war chest available to him to fight union elections inside and outside the HSU.

She claimed HSU members had been outraged over the Craig Thomson affair, although NSW members were being bombarded with information saying she was just making everything up.

"They're saying 'She's crazy' and some people are actually buying that," Ms Jackson said.

"Ultimately, what the 70,000 members are concerned about is what is happening to their money."

She said their union subscriptions should be going towards employing industrial staff, research staff and organisers "but where it has been going is somewhere else".

Vivienne as well as that grub Singer lets examine all the benefactors of the top Awards.

Peter Beattie basically bankrupted Queensland or at least set the wheels well and truly in motion, there are also still questions to be answered about Justice heiners report which happened under his watch.

Gareth Evans,he who in the year 2000 at the UN changed the meaning legally of National Sovereign Rights to be National Sovereign Responsibility,This change allowed NATO and Barack Obama to attack Libya and organise the overthrow of Muamar Gadaffi and his Murder by radical Islamists,His ties along with George Soros to a Organisation called Crisis Group International which is implicated in being a main force behind the so called Arab Spring which is enabling Radical Islam to take control in the Middle East and Northern Africa.

Seems the more undeserving you are the more likely you get rewarded by those Lefty types selling us out to Slavery,Witness the biggest mistake other than not dismantling Keatings UN sellout policies by John Howard was giving Flannery Australian of the year a while back,I bet he now regrets that as much as Alan Jones regrets helping that grub Oakshot launch his political career.

At least Alan Jones is trying vigerously to amend that mistake,John Howard needs to aid in the removal of UN shackles of Slavery apon Australia even if behind the scenes.

Talking of Queens Birthday Honours..

Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent!  ;-) .......

'Mr X' AFSM AM, was awarded the AM (Member of the Order of Australia) in the Queens Birthday Honours List.  Now, Mr X is my former boss, so I know a little about him and his service. Now, while I don't deny his dedication, he lived on site in a government house, and often was at the centre working in his own time on weekends, I used to refer to him as the worlds best Jap! He never invented anything, he used to go overseas every couple of years to a big government conference and copy what was on display there. Being Government, there was no copyright and he was free to use, indeed, in the spirit of international brotherhood in this field, there was often a deliberate and free exchange of ideas, information and experiences.

I remember once i was asked to source a specialised pump for one of his projects. I rang up a pump company, who asked me such embarrasing questions, such as, 'how many litres per minute?' I asked him this, his reply was to show me the photo and say, 'this is it, this is the pump I want!' So the pump salesman asked me another embarrasing question, 'what was the viscosity of the fluid we wanted to pump? I asked 'Mr X' this question. His reply was, you guessed it, he pointed to the photograph and again exhorted me, 'this is the pump, this is the one I want' The very helpful pump salesman then helpfully suggested he come out to our workplace with his bottles of various viscosity liquids. The boss seemed a bit perturbed that he didn't know the viscosity of Napalm off the top of his head. Well, we eventually bought a sample pump and one of the tradesman set to work to make this urgent piece of government equipment, after about two weeks he was taken off this project to do something else, the partially completed 'urgent' project was placed on the window ledge, where it would not surprise me to know it still lays?

So while an AFSM might have been deserved, I think an AM was stretching it a little bit
